Bale to Return as Batman in Justice League?
Christian Bale is in talks to reprise his role as Batman in DC's upcoming Justice League movie, Christopher Nolan will oversee the project, and Man of Steel-helmer Zack Snyder will produce - and possibly direct - if a new report from Latino Review is to be believed.
The website claims that Nolan is now in charge of the entire DCU at Warner Bros., and is in discussions to act as a sort of Godfather to the project, as well as produce alongside Zack Snyder. The studio allegedly wants the film to be set in the same universe as Nolan's Dark Knight trilogy, which naturally means a return of Bale's Batman. Not only that, but Justice League would also tie in with Snyder's gritty Man of Steel, which means - you guessed it - Bale's Batman and Henry Cavill's Superman would appear in the same universe, in the same movie, at the same time.
As the website correctly notes, Bale wouldn't be against reprising the role, as long as the story was right. "I would love the challenge of making a fourth one work," he told Empire Magazine last summer.
Considering Marvel hit the billion-dollar jackpot with the culmination of its Phase One shared universe model, The Avengers, imagine what Warner Bros. could spin by crossing over their top-tier DC properties? And if Justice League releases in 2015 as planned, it will go up against The Avengers 2 the same year, which is certainly an unprecedented clash of the comic book movie titans.
While the information is definitely still camped out in rumorville, the folks at Latino Review have traditionally proven themselves to be a reliable source for scoops, and this could certainly be one of their biggest.

It's way too early to tell, but I have a feeling this may have a difficult time living up to the high standards of the fine Justice League toon from the middle of the previous decade.
It would be cool if there were a second female among the character cast too. Black Canary, who has played a role during certain periods in the League's formation, could be nice.

Del Toro Talks Justice League Dark Movie The DC supernatural team pic aka Dark Universe.
During Saturday's panel for Pacific Rim at WonderCon, director Guillermo del Toro said that John Constantine -- a blond one, he emphasized -- will be the main protagonist in his planned Justice League Dark movie tentatively titled Dark Universe.
Constantine will be the central figure who rounds up the gang. The director revealed that the film won't be an origin movie per se, with each character already established but elements of their backstory coming into play during the course of the story. For example, Swamp Thing is now at peace with who he is, but Deadman will still be in search of the man who murdered him.
In addition to Constantine, Deadman and Swamp Thing, del Toro said the team's members will include Etrigan the Demon and Jason Blood, whose past with Merlin's Knights will be mentioned. (Zatanna and the Spectre have also been previously mentioned as members.)
Del Toro said they have finished the bible for the movie and hope to start the screenplay soon with a writer whose identity he still can't reveal. Dark Universe will not be del Toro's next film, though, as the helmer said he expects to shoot Crimson Peak after Pacific Rim is done. I'm more excited for this than the actual Justice League movie tbh. I hope they get someone good to play Zatanna. She's a DC legend, even tho she looks like Gaga in that pic.

They had me at del Toro. Also, Swamp Thing being involved is clearly going to make this the greatest comic book movie ever, including A History of Violence. Seriously, Alan Moore's time at the helm for Swamp Thing is incredible. I hope he used that as inspiration.

I don't know how I feel about this. Obviously I didn't expect it to be anywhere near as amazing as the John Williams theme, but this isn't even as great as Robert J. Kral's theme. Hopefully it'll grow on me.

I just got back from seeing this. It was okay, but it dragged in places, and after watching 10 years of origin story in 2-3 months, I didn't need to see much more of it, you know? I didn't like Superman snapping Zod's neck either WAYNE ENTERPRISES LOGO THOUGH

I just got back from seeing this. It was okay, but it dragged in places, and after watching 10 years of origin story in 2-3 months, I didn't need to see much more of it, you know? I enjoyed the origin story. We all knew about his parents sending him to Earth in a rocket but I liked how they dove further into that and actually made it a fun action opening. I felt like I was watching Star Wars or something. I didn't like Superman snapping Zod's neck either You are not alone. I loved it. But that's the big polarizing point in the movie. reminded me of Batman leaving Ra's to die in the train in Batman Begins. I loved that too, but a lot of people hated it WAYNE ENTERPRISES LOGO THOUGH Right!? I was the only one in my group that seen that. I marked. I think for a Superman movie it was really good cause I tend to hate them. It wasn't half as boring as the first trailers made it seem. Wasn't perfect, but I'd watch it again.

I've just realised that the OTT amount of damage that Supes causes in the movie may have been Snyder and co.'s way of making the people trust Lex in his campaign against Superman in the next film.

Man of Steel 2 is essentially going to be a World's Finest movie influenced by The Dark Knight Returns.

I started reading Justice League Dark a couple of days ago, and it's probably my favourite out of all the New 52 titles. Constantine, Zatanna and Deadman are fantastic, and I can't wait to see them on the big screen.

Ben Affleck confirmed as Batman in 'Man of Steel' sequel
Ben Affleck will take up the role of Batman in the Man of Steel sequel, Warner Bros has announced.
The studio confirmed the details on its Facebook page on Friday (August 23).
Affleck's casting as Batman ends weeks of speculation behind the coveted role of Bruce Wayne.
The 41-year-old will work under the direction of Zack Snyder, who returns to direct the follow-up to the Superman film, which starred Henry Cavill in the title role.
"We knew we needed an extraordinary actor to take on one of DC Comics' most enduringly popular superheroes, and Ben Affleck certainly fits that bill, and then some," said Warner Bros' Greg Silverman.
"His outstanding career is a testament to his talent, and we know he and Zack will bring a new dimension to the duality of this character."
The untitled sequel - widely tipped as Batman vs Superman - marks the first time the two superheroes will share the big screen together.
Snyder also praised Affleck's casting, adding: "Ben provides an interesting counter-balance to Henry's Superman.
"He has the acting chops to create a layered portrayal of a man who is older and wiser than Clark Kent and bears the scars of a seasoned crime fighter, but retain the charm that the world sees in billionaire Bruce Wayne. I can't wait to work with him."
Amy Adams, Laurence Fishburne and Diane Lane will reprise their roles in the Man of Steel sequel, which is slated to open worldwide on July 17, 2015.
I kinda liked the idea of Jon Hamm playing an older, kinda rougher Batman - but I think Affleck can do Bats justice if the script is strong.
