- Emma Caulfield Joins "Supergirl" as Cameron Chase
"Buffy the Vampire Slayer" alum Emma Caulfield has signed on to play Cameron Chase in CBS' "Supergirl."
According to The Mary Sue's description, "After her father’s violent murder, Cameron Chase decided to dedicate her life to law enforcement. Now a stern, no holds barred FBI agent, Chase's weapons of choice are manipulation and manpower. With little sympathy, and plenty of suspicions, she pursues her targets with ruthless determination."
In the comics, Chase debuted in "Batman" #550 and soon led her own title "Chase" by Dan Curtis Johnson, J.H. Williams III and Mick Gray, where she joined the DEO following her father's murder. In New 52 continuity, she resurfaced in "Batwoman" #1 and investigated Kate Kane for suspected terrorist activities on the DEO's behalf. In addition to her skills as an investigator and computer hacker, she has the subconscious ability to dampen Metahuman powers when she is threatened.

Supergirl Stages Glee Reunion, Casts Blake JennerShe’s got the flying thing down pat, but how is Supergirl at deflecting a severe blast of déjà vu? CBS’ rookie drama has tapped Melissa Benoist’s former Glee co-star-turned-real-life husband Blake Jenner to join the cast as a potential new love interest for her character, Kara, TVLine has learned exclusively. Jenner will portray Adam Foster, a handsome stranger from Cat Grant’s (Calista Flockhart) past whose arrival in National City tests Kara and Cat’s relationship like never before. At the same time, Adam and Kara form a very unexpected connection. This reunion should prove especially satisfying for those Glee fans still bitter that Benoist and Jenner’s respective characters Marley and Ryder — who joined the show in its fourth season, enduring an off-and-on romance — didn’t end up together at the end of the series. Jenner is set to appear in multiple Supergirl episodes, the first of which is slated to air in early 2016. I'm happy that the glee kids who got the middle finger are getting roles, just waitin for Becca Tobin and Jacob Artist to get a callback for something relevant now

I'm just catching up on the two most recent episodes. This version of Jimmy is really starting to grow on me - I think they made him more grown up so that he can suit up in a future season. (Probably as The Guardian). I'm glad Hank Henshaw isn't actually Cyborg Superman, but making him Martian Manhunter was really predictable. It was obvious from the first time his eyes glowed red.

I finally caught up, but why wouldn't Superman be helping her in the first place? I mean isn't Astra his aunt too? Wouldn't he want to deal with the Fort Rozz situation, I guess you can chalk it off to him thinking Kara can take care of it. But still, you'd think he'd want to figure out what Astra's up to or deal with any other Kryptonians.

But still, you'd think he'd want to figure out what Astra's up to or deal with any other Kryptonians. This is the only thing that bugs me about the show. They really should have put some more thought into explaining Superman's absence, because there's no way Clark would keep his word to keep his nose out of Supergirl's business if it involved Kryptonians coming to Earth. But no, Astra isn't his aunt, because Kara's father (Zor-El) is Superman's father's (Jor-El) brother, he isn't biologically related to Alura or Astra. I've heard a rumour that they've cast a child actor to play a young Clark Kent, which only makes sense if: Superman is going to be transformed into a child, ala Goku in Dragon Ball GT, because flashbacks involving a young Superman would be redudant after we've been told many a time that this isn't his story, it's Kara's. So yeah, I think that's how they're going to write out Superman, at least for a while, anyway.

In other news, Laura Vandervoort, who played Supergirl in Smallville, is coming to the show as Indigo.

I really need these new characters they've casted to hurry up and appear because this show is just so stale to me. I already need them to spice it up. I don't care about any of the DEO stuff. At all. And I wish they would've saved Livewire to be Kara's foil in a later story arc. She shouldn't have been wasted in a single episode.
This is more on the random side, but I wish they would've just made Winn gay since it's so obvious Kara is gonna be with James. Representation and all that.
Also, I didn't realize until I checked IMDb just now that Kara's cousin is the girl who was in Not Another Teen Movie with Chris Evans.

I don't even know why they chose to use the D.E.O. because I can't recall it ever being associated with the Superman side of things in the DCU. It's always been a Batman/Batwoman thing.
They should have chose to use Project Cadmus, because it makes so much more sense.

I think my biggest issue with this show is that there isn't really much direction (well up until recently I suppose). For a majority of it, it was just one big bad after another without much underlying plot. Then the episode from two weeks ago it was alluded to that Astra was up to something. Which got my interest. The Toyman episode was alright too. I'd just prefer that they stick with the formula that Arrow/Flash have been using, like give me a reason to look forward to the finale. We're at the halfway point, I was hoping we'd have a little more direction.
Honestly though, I really love Cat.

Honestly I feel like I'm watching a spin off with Marley and Ryder just made a guest appearance.

Oh my god Winn is such a little bitch. Like I'm insulted that of all the characters they decided to imitate Felicity Smoak from, they chose him. Like he has no right to be upset with Kara and Kara has NO REASON to feel guilty. He kissed her and she didn't like it. It's like he's one of those 'oh nice guys finish last' douchebags. I'm hoping Ryder from Glee wins her over.

Oh, they should just keep Ryder on, him and Marley have really great chemistry together. I'm guessing it's because they're married, but I almost feel robbed that I never got this kind of interaction from Glee.
Side note, the White Martians are absolutely terrifying.
