I'm not feeling that she's less Kryptonian and more Earthling. To me, that's what always made Supergirl more interesting than Superman and the reason I preferred her in the first place. The fact that she not only had to adjust to being a superhero, but a person as well. It seems like they really just wanted to make a show about Superman, but they couldn't, so they made Supergirl more like Superman and chose to ignore everything that makes Supergirl Supergirl. And also all the scenes with her in the office seemed really romantic comedy/The Devil Wears Prada-ish and all I could think of was that mock Black Widow trailer SNL made, except this is real life and tragic.

I think had it been picked up by CW, I would've put a little bit more faith in it. They've done such a good job with Arrow and the Flash. And with the possibility of Stephen Amell and Grant Gustin crossing over to her show, it would've given it more of a ratings boost. I mean I have no idea if Green Arrow and Flash would have a reason to cross over (my knowledge in DC is rather limited). I'll still give this a shot though because I don't mind the actress and because if this takes off, hopefully CW will take a hint and give us a superhero show with a female lead rather than being put in a more supporting/sidekick role.

I really did want to give this a chance, because we all need more female led superhero shows/movies, but I could barely get through the trailer. I have no idea how I'd get through an episode of this.
Also, it felt like they decided to change Kara's whole character just to turn her into a superhero version of Felicity Smoak, which sucks. And furthermore, that wasn't Cat Grant and Jimmy Olsen in that trailer, I mean they had the same names, but they weren't the characters I love. Cat isn't 100% bitch, that isn't what her character is, yeah her ambition makes her come across that way, but she's still lovable in her own way. This Cat Grant seems really one dimensional. The guy they've cast as Jimmy Olsen is terrible, I don't mind the race swap, because who cares what colour someone's skin is if they're right for the role, but no, this guy has put no effort into becoming Jimmy - he's just not Jimmy.
I'm also really annoyed that they've chosen Hank Henshaw as the big bad, because he's one of my favourite villains, and it's going to be so frustrating to have a live action version of him out there on a show that I have no interest in whatsoever.
This could have been so good, but I just can't see it ever making it passed one season.

I just watched the leaked pilot.
It's honestly nowhere near as bad as the trailer made it look. It's still not great, but it definitely has potential.

- Supergirl Casts Jenna Dewan-Tatum as Lucy LaneJenna Dewan-Tatum has joined the cast of Supergirl, EW has learned.
The Witches of East End alum will recur as Lucy Lane, who is as brash, funny and beautiful as her older sister Lois Lane. Lucy is strong, smart and successful in her own right. She's got a history with Jimmy Olsen (Mehcad Brooks) and she's come to town to right a previous wrong.
The actress, whose other TV credits include American Horror Story and The Playboy Club, will first appear in episode 3.
Supergirl premieres Monday, Oct. 26 at 8:30 p.m. ET on CBS.

See, I loved the She's a Bad Mama Jama montage. I'm glad it's a little more fun than Arrow.
My only thing (well I have several "things," I'm just trying not to be a hater), was that I didn't really like how flazéda they made Superman about finding Kara. In the comics I grew up with, she was so important to him when he finds her because she's like his only biological relative, and he spends all this time with her and is protective of her. But here he just dumps her with some foster family, never to be heard from again. I mean I get that they're restricted with what they can do with him because of the films, but sheesh. It made him look like such a dick.

I watched the first episode. It was alright. I don't know if I'd watch it regularly though.

The fight scene between Kara and Astra was badass.
