Here are the Diva Dirt Year End Awards.

At least Maryse, Angelina and Velvet are nominated for some awards.

Though I find it funny how Velvet wasn't nonimated for heel of the year. Despite the fact that she was doing some amazing heel work at the beginning of this year. So it's a shame she won't get recognized for that. Yet Cookie, Tara and Sarita are?!

Anyway lets vote to make sure our favorites win something.

Another thing that irks me is that for best gimmick TBP aren't listed on the poll at all but Madison is?! She is bascially doing their gimmick so it makes no sense for her to be on there and not Angelina & Velvet. Hell even Lay-Cool are on there and we all know where their "gimmick" came from. Also Winter is on there and we don't even know what her gimmick is exactly. Some of the other choices are laughable as well.

Honestly a lot of things with these awards have me rolling my eyes.

Maryse was robbed of so many deserved nominations here. None more so than her Twitter account not being up for "best use of social media by a wrestler". An unforgivable oversight there.

Awards and their time frame aside, I wouldn't go that far.

Though I do agree Madison has really stepped up her game over the last year.

Cookie being included is pretty head shaking. Nothing against Becky but her run in TNA thus far has been forgettable.

Yeah I know. She's also on the poll for best gimmick and angle of the year with catfight she had with JWoww. So I guess the Diva Dirt staff must really like her.

No she doesn't. Madison may have changed her look but she is essentially playing TBP gimmick. I will give Madison credit that she has progressed more as character this year than last.

Also I cannot believe that Laycool have 3 spots in the feud of the year poll in addition to the best heel and gimmick polls.

I see the iwc's Gail Kim bitb fantasy is still alive. She hardly had much exposure all year. And hasn't been that impressive in recent times when she has. Somehow she's the best ringer in the biz according to some though.

Those awards are one of the more chuckle worthy New Year's related happenings of late '10-2011. Much better than most stale TV specials.

Anyway, thanx for the reporting, DS. I wouldn't worry about Vel not getting a DD vote. There's about as much chance of that happening as a Republican Presidential candidate winning the District of Columbia.

To someone who better fits the description? (Which isn't to say Gail might not be somewhat underutilized in the E.)

Though I was only addressing "Most Skilled" above award anyway. Which her being awarded is silly.

I'm sure plenty of people underrate Gail on account of her being so underused and therefore out of the spotlight. Not everyone frequents wrestling forum, so they're going to be oblivious to the Gail love.

And she's very gifted, so I have no issue. She did the best she could with what she was given.
