Given that I agree with most of the awards, I don't think I have much to get over.

I'm sure plenty of people underrate Gail on account of her being so underused and therefore out of the spotlight. Not everyone frequents wrestling forum, so they're going to be oblivious to the Gail love. I recall Gail's first run in the WWE. Even before she wrestled her first TV match there, people at places like (for instance) smartmarks and LOP were annointing her "The Female Rey Mysterio." And she's very gifted, so I have no issue. She did the best she could with what she was given. I don't disagree with a notion that takes into account what someone has to work with. That though can be more a reason for not accomplishing much, as opposed to subpar skills or sloppy performances. Gail's largely tended to be a spotfest with very weak mic skills. She isn't given mic time, for example, because she's not good at it. And that's in a fed that often tends to gear toward sports entertainment. Katie Lea certainly didnt get much from the E. When she was onscreen though, her promos were just fine despite her largely marooned situation.

Maryse might very well be the most stylish diva of all time. The voters were on-point with that one, at least.

Meanwhile, God knows how many more people were apathetic towards her, or felt that she was a botch queen who was unfairly handed a title. I'm pretty sure they outweighed the people you're talking about.
Gail has proven time and time again that she's very gifted. Certainly not subpar.
'Spotfest' is an overused term. People use it on anyone who happens to use aerial offense. Gail can sell, and she can put together a good, strong match that goes beyond spots. It's just difficult to do that when the best you're given is a few minutes with Alicia Fox or Maryse. And mic skills don't mean much, considering the fact that it's extremely rare to see a raw female speak.
Katie Lea was given a long-ish match on a PPV with Mickie James and it totally bombed. Granted, Gail had a similar opportunity, but her problem wasn't that the match was super-boring and heatless, it was that she got concussed mid-bout. And unlike Katie, Gail has had strong matches on SmackDown and on Superstars.

Meanwhile, God knows how many more people were apathetic towards her, or felt that she was a botch queen who was unfairly handed a title. I'm pretty sure they outweighed the people you're talking about. You're not sure of anything here since you obviously didn't see what I am referring to and/or fail to acknowledge virtually anything that doesn't fit in your prefabbed vision of events. Gail has proven time and time again that she's very gifted. Certainly not subpar. On the mic she is certainly subpar. She does indeed have ring talent. I'm not saying she doesn't belong in the biz or anything. When Gail's "on" and connecting her spots, her matches could be positive even fun watching. But the notion that she's shown things to merit a pure ring skill award over people like (just for examples) Sara Del Rey or Cheerleader Melissa is head shaking at this juncture. 'Spotfest' is an overused term. People use it on anyone who happens to use aerial offense. Gail can sell, and she can put together a good, strong match that goes beyond spots. It's just difficult to do that when the best you're given is a few minutes with Alicia Fox or Maryse. I don't disagree about match time given as a whole. But neither diva you mention was even in the fed during her first run, and she still didn't live up to the rep. Gail actually did most of her more fundimentally sound work then after she calmed it down a bit and went for more submissions. No one is expecting a high star masterpiece. But one sign of a truly elite ring worker is getting something respectable out of less than ideal opposition. While people like Alicia aren't good you can't always conviently lay everything off on others. And mic skills don't mean much, considering the fact that it's extremely rare to see a raw female speak. And again with the selectively writing off anything and everything that doesn't fit with your vision of things. Gail not being good on the mic counts. As do mic skills in general. Trish Stratus was among those who drove that home. While Trish did improve in the ring, she never became the best among her generation just there. But her speaking ability was among the items that helped set her apart from her peers. Gail's was one of the most infamously botched matches in recent Raw history. She wasn't solely at fault. But iirc she wasn't totally blameless either. Katie never even got the level of opportunities Gail did when her first E run is taken into account. Gail's first E run, though not completely unsuccessful, didn't live up to the pre hype. I think she did a strong job opposite Kong in TNA. But that feud was booked around her looking good vs a near 300 pound wrecking ball. When the plot isn't having a monster heel character sell for her to an extent that she does few others, she doesn't usually seem to operate near the same level.

It's not my fault that your posts aren't fluid.
The award wasn't based on mic skill. And it's WWE/TNA specific, so those girls obviously aren't going to be excluded. Gail is a very gifted wrestler, so deserves the award about as much as any other woman.
Gail had been in wrestling for roughly a year when she first came to WWE; it's not her fault that people had unfairly high expectations. She proved in TNA when she was given time that she is indeed highly gifted, and has had some good showings in WWE anyway, which is difficult when they rarely let you wrestle.
Again, the award isn't based on speaking skills, so I don't know what point you're trying to make. Trish was obviously great on the mic by 2004 or so, but that has no relevance here.
The botches came at the end of the match, after she landed on her head.
Katie was underused, but at the end of the day she was given an opportunity to shine and she didn't. And unlike Gail, she can't blame it on injury. Gail turned in solid performance after solid performance at the beginning of this run, but was shafted in favour of a Melina/Michelle feud. Yes, she had her shot in 2003, but again, she was a rookie. She's been in the business for a while now, and it would be nice to see WWE make an effort with her, especially considering the fact that they push women on the skill level of Maryse, Eve and Alicia. It can't be a question of popularity, because none of those three get much of a reaction. No women in the WWE do tbh, besides Vickie/Melina/Kelly/Beth and arguably Nattie.

The award wasn't based on mic skill. And it's WWE/TNA specific, so those girls obviously aren't going to be excluded. Gail is a very gifted wrestler, so deserves the award about as much as any other woman. I'd say not if it's supposed to be geared toward '10. And if it's not just then, should not the past histories of Sara, Melissa, and such also be taken into account? You apparently meant they (SDR and Melissa for examples) aren't going to be included. Which if so is apparently incorrect in this case. While the Perfect 10 list is E/TNA specific, the skilled wrestler award seemingly wasn't. Hence why the mentioned by myself Sara Del Rey was one of the finalists. Gail had been in wrestling for roughly a year when she first came to WWE; it's not her fault that people had unfairly high expectations. So she was indeed iwc overstated? Thank you finally. Again, the award isn't based on speaking skills, so I don't know what point you're trying to make. Trish was obviously great on the mic by 2004 or so, but that has no relevance here. It ends up relevant when you state things like "mic skills dont mean much" as a performer related to product comment. Katie was underused, but at the end of the day she was given an opportunity to shine and she didn't. She was given all of a few months before being shipped to ECW and largely set aside. ..........especially considering the fact that they push women on the skill level of Maryse, Eve and Alicia. It can't be a question of popularity, because none of those three get much of a reaction. No women in the WWE do tbh, besides Vickie/Melina/Kelly/Beth and arguably Nattie. Maryse used to be pretty well over. But getting tied to Ted DiBiase is death in that regard. I've previously stated Gail is underutilized. I'd have no problem with her getting a push. At the same time, I'm not sure how smooth a fit for featuring inside the E style she'll be given that she has little ability to progress storylines through personality or speaking means.
