I'm still really impressed at how well she was able to hide the corset. Not to mention her agility while having her guts displaced by the corset is pretty impressive. I'm assuming we're supposed to believe she's wearing a corset and not just missing internal organs?

I told myself I wasn't interested in this game but then I saw it in the shop today and had to get it. I just couldn't resist. About to put it on. I hope I don't regret having this change of heart. EDIT: I love the first hour or so of the game. I already like this better than Underworld. Killing the deer was fucked up. I guess Lara gotta eat though to keep her strength up.  Those wild dogs are a bitch to kill without a struggle when there's more than one of them at a time. Omg at the part when the guy catches you hiding in the hut. He strangled me to death like 5 times before I managed to knee him in the balls at the correct moment. And that tussle before you blow his brains out was amazing. This is way more violent/graphic than past TR games. EDIT 2: I've been playing this all day. I love this game. |

It's fun. It's Uncharted, but it's fun. I miss pulling myself up with a handstand and the classic Tomb Raider music. I've only been playing for an hour or so. I got crushed by the rock in the cave. I didn't see the Y/Triangle prompt pop up in time lol.
That deer was a bitch to kill. She kept running away. I hit her like 3 times. It got to the point where she finally dropped all guilt was gone and I was just like "Yeah! Suck on that, deer!" When she was still alive in the cutscene I felt like Jim Carrey with the cow in Me, Myself & Irene and wanted to just bash it's head in.
.... to end it's misery. Cause it's such a beautiful creature......
The part with the wolves in the bushes with the bear trap was terrifying.
That's as far as I am.
Also, I had no idea this game was free roam Edit: Pffft. These wolves ain't shiii Edit 2: Omg at the part when the guy catches you hiding in the hut. I love the shooting mechanics in this game. That was one thing I didn't enjoy about Underworld. Amanda's Ship level was hell cause of the shooting (as badass as the music and end of the level were) I'm having a blast lightin these bitches up Did you kill the guy that was injured from the explosion, when you first get the rifle? I gave him an arrow straight to the head, but only cause I thought he was stuck under burning rubble. I laughed when she told him to go to hell, then I noticed his legs were perfectly free Oops. |

This is my favourite TR game since 2 or 3. The only thing that could take this from a 9/10 to a 10/10 for me is if there were more water/swimming based missions and if you still had the ability to lock your butler in a freezer. Only because I thought I would get some trophy/achievement for putting him out of his misery though. If I had known I wouldn't then I would have left him there so he could spend a little longer realising the pain and consequences of fucking with Lara Croft.
Speaking of the arrows, I got so used to using them in the beginning that even after getting all the guns I'm still using them as my primary weapon and running around like I'm Daryl from Walking Dead. I realised it when I was in that huge shootout towards the end and it dawned on me, "I have a SHOTGUN which could blow these bitches heads off with one shot...why the hell am I still playing around with these arrows??"
All the major set pieces in this game look AMAZING. When you're climbing that huge communication tower, damn, I'm not afraid of heights and even I was like "it's too high, Lara!" just watching it. Trying to cross that bridge, parachuting through the forest, when the plane crashes and when you're sliding through those caves and stuff all looked great too. |
