I mean, I'm excited for the premise of this, but it's kinda taking me out of it that he doesn't look anything like Wolverine in this. I was kinda hoping for hot DoFP daddy Logan again.  |

Wait, I just realized the whole premise of Logan with all the other mutants dead is set only a year or two after Days of Future Past, so all the time travel to fix the world and the happy ending the original cast got was all for nothing.  Logan cancelled. |

I finally watched Apocalypse after getting it as a Christmas gift. I liked it better than Days of Future Past, which I thought was mostly boring. Jean stole the show. It was weird seeing Sansa playing someone else at first but she was great. I love Michael Fassbender and he was great again in this but lord, can they decide if they want Magneto to be a hero or a villain already. Apocalypse was super creepy to me at first, like when he first awoke. Once he started going around recruiting people like a football coach he lost a little bit of his creepiness to me but I still enjoyed him as the lead villain. Xavier and Mystique were fine but McAvoy and J-Law seemed like they're bored of this shit and were just contractually obligated to get through this. I was thinking about three quarters of the way through that Psylocke had done nothing except stand behind Apocalypse but thankfully she got good stuff to do near the end. I can't stand Evan Peters so I couldn't really fuck with Quicksilver. I usually find Cyclops annoying but I like this one better than the guy who played him in the earlier movies. He's not as whiney. I liked Beast better than I did in the last movie too. Oh, and The Wolverine part was great. |

Hugh Jackman said Logan isn't set in the same timeline as the other movies. This franchise's messy continuity continues.  At least it wont mess up the ending of DoFP. |
