Moira explaining Apocalypse in this scene is how I feel whenever I drop comic knowledge on someone.

How ironic that they made AJ Styles the homophobic character.

This is incinerating Alice Through the Looking Glass at the box office just like the Phoenix incinerated Apocalypse.

I'm struggling to put what I just experience into words, so I'm going to keep it very brief. I. Loved. It. I agree with literally everything B and Astro have said, the pros and the cons. I loved the X-23 teaser with Mister Sinister's corporation at the end, that was great. Also, I can't believe people are complaining about the Weapon X scene, it lasted like 3 minutes, lol.

I've seen people saying this movie sucked based on one scene: The one where Magneto goes to the mill to kill the men he worked with. I genuinely saw someone say that it made no sense, which really makes it clear that the MCU has dumbed down a lot of superhero moviegoers. The reason he went to kill the mill workers, was because they went to the police about him being a mutant, which led to the death of his wife and daughter, how is that hard to understand? These fucking people, I swear.

I saw it again last night and it was truly better a second time. I think the bad reviews hindered my first viewing experience because I was looking for problems with the film, but last night there wasn't any of that. In fact I didn't even notice the stuff that I thought bothered me the first time. For some reason I enjoyed Psylocke so much more last night, and my heart was racing when Jean's big scene was approaching. I think after last night I would actually put this above the original film in my ranking. Everything from when Apocalypse snatches Xavier until the end was fantastic and exciting. I saw it with my friend and she was living for all the strong female moments, too. When Psylocke flipped onto the scene and cut the car in half she quietly and excitedly clapped beside me and it was so cute. Not to keep harping on the MCU, but that was another thing I thought of when I saw this the first time. We were all slain by Wonder Woman in Batman v Superman, and this movie actually went there and let Jean Grey defeat Apocalypse, while Civil War cast Scarlet Witch aside because heaven forbid they let the most powerful person in that fight exhibit that power, because she's a woman and most of the men are a bunch of flops in super powered suits that anyone could don.
The MCU has really gotta step it up and let their women be great. They're already starting to get called out for their lack of representation. In Phase 3, this will not fly, especially with what the DCEU and Fox are doing.
