It looks like a shot for shot remake of part 1 starring Hayden Christensen I thought the same, minus the Hayden Christensen bit. I'll probably give this a miss. I'm afraid I'll miss James Franco as Harry too much tbh. |

Seriously though, they shouldn't have done the origin story again. We've seen it too many times.
They should have just jumped straight in with the Sinsiter Six or the Clone Saga.

Then it would've just felt like a sequel. You have to think about the casual viewer. Not the fan/geeks/internet. For the reboot to work, they needed to the the origin again. I just didn't think I'd be watching the same movie. On the other hand, it does look more serious/dark toned than Raimi's version, and the villain is the Lizard instead of Green Goblin so although the origin seems exactly the same, the movie will probably turn out completely different. No Mary Jane. No Harry (that I know of). No Green Goblin. No Wrestling Show. No Hokey Acting. I'll give it a watch. It's just not going to make anywhere near as much money as Spider-Man 4 would've made. Sony is fucking retarded, but what's new there? *cough*PS3*cough* The funny thing about the reboot is they didn't want to do Spider-Man 4 because Lizard was the main villain.... so they decided to do a reboot....... with Lizard as the main villain...  |

Nothing to do with this film but this is the original design for the Green Goblin from Sam Raimi's Spider-Man:
It looks really cool, but for a theme park or something, not a movie. I loved Green Goblins armored suit. Don't understand all the hate at all.
