The last 20/30 minutes were so great. The reveal was kinda shocking. I thought for sure Jill would be like the new Sidney if they were gonna make more movies. Charlie wasn’t really a surprise though.
When Sidney was stabbed there was screaming in the cinema, then silence, which was broken by one random guy near the back shouting “you bitch!” when Jill was revealed. I really came close to causing a scene and bursting into uncontrollable laughter. I actually thought there was a chance that Sidney wouldn’t have survived tbh. This is a Scream movie, after all. Although if they do ever kill off one of the main 3 I really hope it’s Dewey. I still can’t stand him.
And Kirby could easily have survived if they want her to. If Hayden has any interest, then she’ll be back for the 5th one, I’m sure. Sarah Michelle Gellar still has the best Scream scene imo. Yep. And upon further reflection, I would still say I like Scream 2 more than this one. This was awesome last night but the real test will come when I buy the Blu-Ray and watch it a couple more times without the added excitement of watching it with a bunch of people screaming and cheering at every little thing. If I do that and still love it as much as the first two then I’ll be really impressed. sounds good. i'll have to catch the bootleg. You should really ask tell B take you to see it. It’s so much better in the cinema.

i went to the midnight showing last night. it was pretty good. some parts were predictable, but whatever. i didn't expect Culkin to stab Hayden P., and all because she didn't give him the time of day? way harsh. i also never would've thought that our sweet and innocent Emma Roberts could be so vindictive (i thought her bf was the culprit at first). one thing that kinda annoyed me tho was how lazy she was in trying to kill Sidney. after she stabbed her once in the stomach, it was pretty obv that she was going to live. you would think after all the trouble she put into that whole scheme (which involved practically almost killing herself), she would've at least shot her a couple times to make sure she was dead lol. i also didn't like her reason for it all either. i thought the "fame" excuse was kinda corny.
also, those kids really didn't seem to give a fuck that there was a killer on the loose. you wouldn't catch me at no "Stab-a-thon."
anyway, courtney cox's character was my favorite. she pretty much cussed and flicked everyone off throughout the duration of the film.
pretty good installment, overall. i don't really like watching people get stabbed. i def wasn't expecting the part with the intestines...

pretty good installment, overall. i don't really like watching people get stabbed. i def wasn't expecting the part with the intestines... I suspected Culkin to be the killer (and half of the cast at some point or another) when he was so adamant about trying to get Sidney to show up for the Q&A. His beady little eyes told it all. I never once suspected Jill though. But I'm glad she was the killer, because she was pretty boring up until then.
Hayden's death shocked me. I really liked her character and she would have been fun to bring back, but I would feel cheap if they wrote it off like she survived. At least when you thought Dewey or Gale died in the others we saw them alive at the end of the movie.
Olivia's death was probably the best, but I wish the focus would have been kept on her and that we could have gotten to know her a little more beforehand. The way they made it a point to keep her in the background while Kirby was checking the closet, I was just waiting on the killer to snatch her up.

That always makes me lol in every horror movie ever when everyone knows there's a killer on the loose and they still think it's a good idea to go and party with a bunch of complete strangers. Like, nothing can possibly go wrong there, can it??

Speaking of Anna Paquin, I can't wait for Trick R Treat 2. With Scream 4 out the way, I need another horror movie to look forward to now.

Well like you always say, white people are crazy. Hayden's death shocked me. I really liked her character and she would have been fun to bring back, but I would feel cheap if they wrote it off like she survived. At least when you thought Dewey or Gale died in the others we saw them alive at the end of the movie. Not true. Dewey was originally killed in the first movie. You never see him again after he is stabbed on the porch. He was a really popular character so they decided to bring him back for the sequel. Part 2 is the one where you see him survive at the end. (I could be completely wrong on this btw but I don't think I am as I just re-watched the first 2 last night)

Oh, yeah. Just rewatched the ending. In my defense it was pretty blink and you miss it. Still. Kirby was moving on the ground when it cut away and Sid got stabbed twice it the stomach and lived so why can't Kirby?

The DVD/Blu-ray is out on the 8th of August over here. So many people have tried to spoil it for me, I don't think I'll make it tbh.

I liked it. The original is still the best, but this was much better than 3. Kirby was my favourite character. The first false opening got me. The second was obviously false. Stab 5 sounds awesome... it has time travel! I knew Jill was the killer from the get go, but I thought Robbie was her accomplice until he was slashed.

Dimension Films wouldn't comment on Scream 5 unless it was happening... this is (potentially) great news!
