This didn't look as bad as I was preparing myself for. I didn't know Anna Paquin and Kristen Bell were gonna be in this.

New promotional image from the movie:
And this could be the beginning of a new trilogy.
I can't wait to see this now. Not sure I want another trilogy though. I guess if this one is good then I'll come around.

^I saw it tonight. You need to hurry up and go see it so we can discuss it here in-depth and finally use our new spoiler tags for an appropriate reason, lol.
OK, I admit I had my doubts…but this was awesome.
Nothing can top the original, but this was way better than Scream 3 and on par with the second. Without spoiling anything, everything you expect from a Scream movie is here.
Hayden Panettiere’s character was my favourite. I never really knew who she was before. She was just the hot chick from that show I didn’t watch who’s surname I wasn’t quite sure how to pronounce (I‘m still not sure tbh). I hope to see her in more stuff.
I heard there was talk of another trilogy if this one was successful (lol @ them even thinking it possibly wouldn’t be though). Even if there isn’t, I would be fine with it ending here since this movie finally erased the bad taste that’s been in my mouth ever since Scream 3.

Just got back from seeing it. So good. Everyone in my theater was screaming and laughing, it was a lot of fun. Now, onto the good stuff... Both of the trick openings fooled me, and everyone else in my theater. I thought those were really clever. As far as the new characters went, I liked both of Jill's friends. Hayden Panettiere's character was a lot of fun and Marielle Jaffe is beautiful. I also really liked Marley Shelton's character. She actually kind of reminded me of Tiarnán, lol. I was pleased when it was revealed she didn't die. Speaking of which, I was so pissed when it looked like Jill was going to get away with the murders, I wasn't expected the last ten minutes or so at all. And holy crap, did you cringe when she shot her boyfriend in the nuts or what? I can't believe I ever doubted Wes Craven.

1 is still the best but I'm on the fence if I liked it better than 2 or not. I'll have to rewatch 2 to see. Let's never speak of 3 again. I have to admit, I didn't see the reveal coming at all. I had my feelings towards the end, as you usually do, when the suspects started narrowing down. But it caught me by suprise. Loved the last 20 minutes or so. I really liked Hayden Pannitiere or how ever the fuck you spell it. If we're talking about characters reminding us of posters, Kirby was B 100%. lmao at the bitch beating the holy fuck out of herself at the end. I really thought she was gonna get away with that shit for a sec. But Sidney died waaaaaay to easily for me to believe she was actually dead. I was half expecting Sidney to walk up behind Dewey at the end and be like "busted bitch". But yeah, Killer had to die. And oh my god yes. I felt so fucking bad for the boyfriend. I would've been begging for the headshot after that one. Ow. I don't see how this is the start of another trilogy though as, oh I don't know, EVRERY SINGLE PERSON FROM THE NEW CAST DIED. Except the cop. She looked like the chick from the first one that got caught in the garage door. She was cool too. Anywho, all in all I thought it was great. Well worth the $12 for the IMAX screen. (even though it wasn't IN IMAX ) I'd give it a 9/10.

aww Mal don't read spoilers first. It takes away most of the fun. Scream movies aren't scary, they're murder mysteries. It'd be like playing clue and having the cards showing the whole game. Oh well.... Anyways. Upon further review, Scream 4 is much better than Scream 2. Scream Scream 4 Scream 2 Scream 3 That's my order. Also... Stab 7 must've sucked. You know it's Kristin Bell before the title even comes up. How lame...

She looked like the chick from the first one that got caught in the garage door. Funny you say that since they were co-stars in Planet Terror. Sarah Michelle Gellar still has the best Scream scene imo. EDIT: About the caller ID thing, I didn't really appreciate it as I watching the movie, but I do like how they took on caller ID like that and used it to grow suspicions. I remember a lot of people thinking that would hinder the theme of the killer when the movie was announced, but I guess they showed them.

None of my friends are free to see this at anytime it's on at the cinema here. Fuck them and their desire to pass their exams.
I'll have to wait until it comes out of DVD to see it. I swear to God, if any of my friends spoil anything for me I'm gonna punch them straight in the face.
