It's quite obvious that Velvet's the leader of the Aces & 8s, she just makes them wear ugly clothes to put the suspicion on other people.

- The Wrestling Observer reports that one of the reasons ‘some women’ have quit TNA Wrestling in the past year stems from the belief that Bruce Prichard, Senior Vice President of Programming and Talent Relations, is not in favor of women’s wrestling. This would also explain why the Knockouts division is not as given as much prominence as in the past, with only a few talents being highlighted.
Angelina Love and Velvet Sky reportedly left the promotion on their own accord and the roles of Mickie James, Rosita, Sarita and Winter were greatly curtailed after Prichard came into power last October.

Their just confirming what I already knew about Brother Love. Yet there are a lot of people on a certain TNA news site who think he's doing such a great job since taking over. He's not!
Angelina and Velvet got out of there at the right time.

- Former WWE Divas Champion Jillian Hall wrestled a dark match before last night’s Impact. She lost to her friend and former WWE co-worker Tara. Jillian lives in the area but there’s on word yet if TNA plans on signing her.

Jillian lives in the area but there’s on word yet if TNA plans on signing her. Apparently they were happy with her match, and she was scheduled to compete on one of those bootleg indy PPV's but was replaced by that skanky mohawk girl. Which just so happens to coincide with TNA no longer allowing their wrestlers to appear in other promotion's PPVs or DVDs.

This is more rumor than news but it's LOL worthy. It was originally posted on a TNA forum I use to post on.
Hey guys. My pal got a hold of some
TNA info!
Note 1: There was no information received for the likes of Hulk Hogan, Dixie Carter, Bischoff, and Jeff Jarrett. We have to assume that their contracts are tied up in the corporate end, and not through the system that pays performers.
Note 2: Very few TNA performers get generous "WWE style" perks such as first class travel and hotel comps.
Note 3: TNA do recieve merchandise cut bonuses, these are noted where applicable, although exact figures were not made available to us.
Note 4: As you will observe, TNA downsides are MUCH lower than WWE downsides.
Note 5: Kurt Angle and Sting both have contracts wherein, they are only required to work a certain amount of dates per month.
AJ Styles: $390,500 downside/receives a merchandise bonus - 3 year contract
Abyss: $344,280 downside - 2 year contract
Austin Aries: $145,310 downside - 2 year contract
Bobby Roode: $275,000 downside - 3 year contract
Bully Ray: $305,200 downside - 3 year contract (this is believed to be his previous contract which expired last month)
Chris Sabin: $144,500 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus - 2 year contract
Christopher Daniels: $183,000 downside - 2 year contract
Hernandez: $174,220 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus - 3 year contract
James Storm: $268,470 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus - 3 year contract
Jeff Hardy: $728,450 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus/travel paid for
Kazarian: $141,000 downside
Kurt Angle: $1,000,000 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus/travel and accommodation paid for/ maximum of 10 dates per month
Matt Morgan: $350,000 downside - 3 year contract (this is believed to be Morgan's previous contract)
Mr Anderson: $625,700 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus
Rob Van Dam: $680,000 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus/travel paid for
Samoa Joe: $400,000 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus
Sting: $840,750 downside/receives a merchandise bonus/travel and accommodation paid for/maximum of 10 dates per month
Gail Kim: $150,000 downside/receives a merchandise bonus - 2 year contract
Madison Rayne : $77,400 downside - 2 year contract
Mickie James: $177,940 downside/ receives a merchandise bonus/ contract allows for flexibility with James' music career
Sarita: $62,100 downside
Tara: $98,410 downside (this is believed to be Tara's previous contract) =========================== There is no way that Sabin is making $100K and what merchandise does he have? Also Abyss is making more than Austin Aries who's their world champ?! That's how I know this is false.
It does make me wonder how much Velvet was making and if she received a merch bonus. She should have but I have a feeling she didn't. Also makes me wonder how much Christy Hemme makes since she is rumored to be the highest paid Knockout.

I was thinking this was bullshit at first. But then committing to paying Anderson a minimum of 5/8ths of a million dollars + merch per year sounds like the sort of crazy decision TNA would make.

Oh yeah that rumor that keeps popping up about Velvet and TNA came up again today. TNA has put her photo gallery back up. Personally I think they did just to get attention for their site.
PWInisder who is way more relible than the Observer already stated that Velvet is 100% done with them. I believe she is and TNA should just respect that and let her go.

Former WWE Diva, Ivelisse Velez wrestled Tara in a tryout match after last night’s IMPACT Wrestling. For those who aren’t familiar, Velez was a contestant on the Tough Enough reality show and competed in FCW and NXT under the ring name Sofia Cortez before being released by WWE back in August. Tara tweeted a photo of the two hanging out backstage.
