She'll always be Daisy Duke to me.
Remember the stories at the time that she was basically fighting it out with Britney Spears for that role? I loved her as DD (the only good part of that movie) but Britney would have been great too.

As a Britney fan I was bummed because I needed a follow up to Crossroads but I loved Jessica almost as much so I was like "at least it wasn't Mandy Moore" but that movie turned out to be shit anyway I can't believe you even remember it. (⊙‿⊙✿)
EDIT: Wait that reminds me let's have a moment for this song and the time I made my family listen to it on a four hour loop one summer on our way to the beach.

"We Remain": Christina Aguilera Gives 'Hunger Games' A Gorgeous Ballad Over the past year, Christina Aguilera has successfully transitioned from the body-fucking, Kool Aid extension-wearing Lotus era into a more demure phase of her career — going Back To Basics, if you will: First, there was the La Tempestad anthem, "Hoy Tengo Ganas De Ti." Then, the return to The Voice. And now this: "We Remain," a stirring anthem for the soundtrack of Hunger Games: Catching Fire.
"We Remain" is a (refreshingly) restrained moment for Christina, allowing her emotionally charged powerhouse pipes to take charge of the track without drowning out the beautiful melodies with her signature vocal runs (and "HA!"-ing). She's always shined in ballad form, and "We Remain" is no exception — the bridge, especially ("Every single time the wind blows...") is a chill-inducing moment.
How does it factor within the grand scheme of all Legend X ballads? It's not as immediately memorable as "Beautiful," "Hurt" or "You Lost Me," but it is still a gorgeous listen for true lovers of balladry — and it only gets better with each replay. Christina's still one of the best vocalists in the game, and this track is further proof of her true talent.
Now bow down, bobbleheads.

How has no one posted this yet? This might be the best pop video in years (I know I said that about Katy Perry's like a week ago but still).

Rihanna Rih-Defines Ratchetry In "Pour It Up" Video
Illuminati Instagram Navy Commander Rihanna's Unapologetic track "Pour It Up" is the sonic equivalent of sitting in the world's loneliest strip club — and that's exactly what she's provided in the moody, murky and moist accompanying video.
A narrative? Bitch, #PhuckYoPlot: "Pour It Up" is all about capturing that Mike WiLL Made It-produced sizzurp sound, featuring some truly skillful pole work and marathon twerking by the likes of Nicole "The Pole" Williams, Candace Cane and Secret Moneii.
(And please, don't suggest that Miley inspired any of this. The video was shot in May.)
RiRi herself strides into the scene like a boss bitch to her golden throne, clad in a diamond-studded top left over from the Barbados Crop Over Festival and a pair of Daisy Dukes that have been pon de laundromat one too many times.
While a majority of the pole work is executed by the trained professionals, RiRi herself takes a spin for a bit, swinging around and flaunting her oft-Instagrammed lady lumps. Mostly though, she's spending her time tossing dollaz in the air, twerking on her royal throne and searching for a single #phuck to give. (Spoiler Alert: She finds not even one.)

A new musical will tell the story of Jesus Christ using the songs of Britney Spears.
Spears The Musical: The Gospel According To Britney is currently being developed for the stage, with a preview of the show to be held for funders in New York on November 7. The production will give an account of the birth, life, death and resurrection of Jesus by using Spears hits such as 'Stronger', '...Baby One More Time' and '(You Drive Me) Crazy'.
Speaking about the project on the musical's official website, creator Pat Blute said: "These are Britney's lyrics. These are Jesus Christ's images. The Britney Spears you see is not Britney Spears. Remember that. The Jesus Christ you read is not Jesus Christ. These are manifestations. Accounts through the media, through the words of followers, of friends, of foes, of villains, of heroes, of liars, of biases."
"It's a falsehood that people believe fame and fortune create happiness. That all 'deaths' receive a resurrection. I hope this project will show you otherwise through the power of listening and the power of forgiveness."
Earlier this week, it was revealed that Spears' songs were also being used by navy officers to scare off Somali pirates off the coast of east Africa. Songs including 'Oops! I Did It Again' and '...Baby One More Time' have proved best at keeping the pirates away, according to reports, with officers playing the songs in the direction of the pirates through speakers.
Spears recently revealed that her new album will be called 'Britney Jean'. The pop singer will release her eighth album on December 3. It is the follow-up to 2011's 'Femme Fatale'.

- Selena Gomez Disses Lorde For Picking CatfightsSelena Gomez isn't just going to stand by and let Lorde diss her! After the talented 17-year-old artist accused Selena of sending a bad message to young women with her song "Come and Get It," Sel has vowed never to cover Lorde's hit song "Royals" in concert again. Selena shared her thoughts about the outspoken "Royals" singer's rude remarks in a new interview with Flaunt magazine, the UK's Daily Mail reports. "That's not feminism. [Lorde is] not supporting other women. That's my honest opinion, that's what I would say to her if I saw her," Selena says. "I actually covered her song in all of my shows that I've done so far. I'm not sure if I'm going to continue that." Ouch! Lorde has burned at a ton of hot artists lately, but her diss to Selena seemed like the worst one. "I love pop music on a sonic level," she said in an interview. "But I'm a feminist and the theme of her song [Come & Get It] is, 'When you're ready come and get it from me.' I'm sick of women being portrayed this way." Selena responded to Lorde's diss during a radio interview in Boston, saying: There's two different kinds of criticism. There's the people that hide behind a computer and want to say endless amount of things but never say it to your face, and then obviously there are the vocal ones. I appreciate everybody's opinion, especially because I've covered her music lots of times. I think she is super talented and I think it's awesome. But I think at the same time that feminism and that specific thing is very sensitive because in my opinion it's not feminism if you're tearing down another artist. So that's the only thing that I feel but you know, she's young, she's got so much talent, she's gonna take over, she gets it, so I don't take it to heart.
For those of you unfamiliar with what Lorde said ( or who she is, for that matter), she basically blasted any female pop singer who sings love songs or songs about men, including Selena Gomez, Taylor Swift and Lana Del Rey. I found Lorde's views on feminism to be pretty narrow, and quite frankly ignorant, so I was happy to see one of them clap back. Though, I was really hoping it would be Lana. No one will take you to the reading room quite like her.

I just realised the EMA's are on right now. Katy and Iggy are there. I don't know if they're performing though. The guy who's hosting is annoying. EDIT: Oh, Katy is performing now. Eminem's acceptance speeches are so boring now compared to 10 years ago.

The Official Trailer for Lana Del Rey's 'Tropico' is Out and OMFGToday, we bow our heads beauty queen style and kneel at the Altar of Saint Lana Del Rey, to whom we offer our sacrificial cans of Diet Mtn Dew and Pepsi Cola whilst praying for forgiveness for our general unworthiness and inability to afford Bugatti Veyrons.
Over the past few weeks, the stunning Born To Die songstress has been slowly teasing her upcoming mini-film Tropico teaser by teaser, giving us otherworldly glimpses of Lana's own Garden of Eden alongside Elvis, Jesus, Marilyn and John Wayne.
But that's nothing compared to the full one-minute trailer, which was just released to VEVO today.
I won't spoil anything — mostly because I have no idea what's going on, aside from glimpses of Lana canoodling with her male model on-screen BF Shaun Ross, some "Criminal"-like gun-toting action and a brief pole twirl I Know Who Killed Me-style by Lana Del Stripper (!) — but luckily, there's some official blurb from VEVO to help us start to digest the visual divinity:Tropico is an epic tale based on the biblical story of sin and redemption and features Del Rey starring as Eve. The three-part story begins in the Garden of Eden and travels through time to modern-day Los Angeles. Del Rey's visual sensibility is rich and fantastical, and the movie's running themes stay true to the concepts of Born to Die and Born To Die – The Paradise Edition: the loss of innocence, good vs. evil, and trading beauty for money. The film puts closure on the two recordings, and features three songs from The Paradise Edition: "Body Electric," "Gods and Monsters," and "Bel Air." #Blessed. Can you handle the wait until December 5? You better, you little bitch...
'Tropico' will be released on December 5. ( iTunes)

"The first time I smoked weed was with Demi and Miley. I must have been 17 or 18. They kept saying, "Try it! Try it!" so I gave it a shot, and it was all right. I don't even smoke weed that often anymore." — Joe Jonas being a punk ass snitch
