A couple of nights ago I went to see The Purge. It was okay, but definitely not as good as I was expecting it to be. It had a pretty great premise, but they kind of failed to capitalize on it. It could have been so much more. I think there should and will be sequels to explore the idea more.

Yeah, I liked The Purge well enough but it had the potential to be really great. I don't have any faith in the future sequels being better though. It'll probably be a Saw/Paranormal Activity scenario where they realise they can rush out a sequel next year (and the year after...and the year after...) and just make a near carbon copy of the first one every time.
The last movie I watched was a French horror movie, Inside. Shit was beyond disturbing. There were at least 3 scenes that were creepier than anything I've seen in any other horror movie in recent years.

The Internship
This movie was kinda inspiring, in the sense that you can achieve your dreams no matter the age. Also Dylan O'Brien was fucking adorable. And the Indian girl in the movie too.

Just did a Superman/This is the End double feature. Fucking badass, and fucking hilarious.

Naked Gun 2.
These movies are still great. I love Leslie Nielsen.

I watched Sucker Punch last night, and I really liked it.
I didn't really know what the movie was about until I started watching, but it had a gripping plot, and I enjoyed the ride.

Just did a Superman/This is the End double feature. Fucking badass, and fucking hilarious. I'm going to see This is the End tomorrow. I hope I like it as much as you did. The whole Seth Rogan/Jonah Hill/etc clique and their movies are very hit-or-miss to me. I loved Superbad, liked Knocked Up and didn't like the others I've seen. Craig Robinson is also in this one though which is a plus.

Super with Rainn Wilson and Ellen Page
It was basically a more realistic depressing version of Kick-Ass, but it was enjoyable. Has a decent supporting cast too with Kevin Bacon, Liv Tyler, Nathan Fillion and Merle from the walking dead.
After watching it, I'm pretty set on wanting Ellen Page to play Harley Quinn. I know, I know, but watch the movie before telling me I'm crazy.

Maybe it's because my expectations were really low but I loved This is the End. Definitely my favourite comedy movie in quite a while.
Also, last night I watched Pulse. It's a horror movie I only watched because Christina Milian was in it. It completely sucked.

Last night I watched Cruel Intentions for the first time in probably over a decade.
I forgot just how evil Kathryn was. Even the girls from Mean Girls would bow down in awe at her bitchiness.

The first one was brilliant, the second was okay, but yeah, the third was just meh. They should have capitalized on Fregley's creepiness and made the movie about him.

Sound of My Voice.
The description made it sound like a horror movie which it really wasn't at all. I liked it though and it was pretty creepy in parts.
Brit Marling is like my new current favourite actress. I also liked her in Another Earth.
