Heard this news this morning. Leslie Nielsen is a legend. Naked Gun, Dracula: Dead And Loving It, Repossessed etc. I can watch these movies over and over. They don’t make comedies like that anymore. Even his segment in Creepshow was hilarious. Hell, he was even the only person who made those later Scary Movie sequels somewhat watchable. RIP.

"They've finally stopped calling him Shirley." Really, that was the only one of those sort that amused me at all.
Loved him and 84 is not a bad age to croak, really.
Also, this thread has brought to my attention something I find rather disturbing. Why would anyone "like" a death notice? Huh?

Why would anyone "like" a death notice? Huh? lol, ikr? smh @ the distastefulness. I'm sure they meant well though, which is kind of fitting in a Leslie Nielsen thread. I consider it a homage to all of his awkward yet good-intentioned comedy characters.

Because it's rarely considered appropriate to drink during the service. Also, I think that might be a British thing. We Americans just converge at someone's house and stuff our fat faces with all of their food.

I'd be honored if my funeral service turned into an epic piss up. In fact, I wouldn't expect anything less.
Upon rewatching this, I kinda wish he had played more hilariously creepy villain roles.
