Horror films that should never be remade

1. Evil Dead

*Hellraiser would have been my first choice, but a remake has already been announced unfortunately*

2. The Birds

I’ve never seen The Birds actually.

Birds (pigeons in particular) do kinda freak me out though, so I’m sure I’ll be able to relate to this movie when I eventually get round to watching it one day.

Understandable. For me it's any bird that talks. It's not okay.

I know Land of the Dead isn't considered a remake, but that shit was bad. I did however enjoy the Dawn of the Dead remake.

3. Let Me In. I don't know if it qualifies as horror, it is about vampires though, but the remake was pretty boring. The original is really great though.

4. One Missed Call - The original version was bad enough, they didn't need to Americanize it.

5. Any great Spanish horror movie.

They Americanize them and absolutely kill them in the process. (REC) was brilliant then they turned into Quarantine and it was awful. El Orfanato (The Orphanage) is one of my favorite horror movies also and they‘re making a US remake of that. I’ll watch it out of curiosity, but I know it will suck.

Oh yeah. One of my friends used to have a parrot. It was a bully. To this day I’m still traumatised by the memories of it calling me a dick over and over again.

I would say Night Of The Demons, Nightmare On Elm Street, Halloween and Friday The 13th. But sadly they have all been remade.
