I think it'd be wonderful if the Bellas won, and it's definitely deserved, but I don't think they need the accolade. A "real" team like The IIconics seem like the second best option, but The Riott Squad could really use the clout and I think they've been an underrated asset to both brands since being called up and it'd be a nice reward for their hard work. Plus, while I'd love for Charlotte and Becky to win, I think a heel team like The Riott Squad or Mandy and Sonya winning, and babyfaces chasing, makes for a better story. But idk. As long as it isn't Sasha and Bayley, followed by an in-ring celebration full of crying and Triple H or Stephanie entering the ring to raise their hands.
And explain your choices!
I was torn between Mandy and Sonya or The IIconics as my second heel team who could use the rub, but unlike The IIconics or The Riott Squad, I think Mandy and Sonya both have more potential as solo stars, so they can leave something for the other girls.

Bellas vs. IIconics in the final.  I like the first champion of a newly created title to be a big star who can go in the record books and make the title seem important straight away and then drop the title to someone less established so in an ideal world I'd have the Bellas be the first champs then feud and lose to the IIconics. If the Bellas won't come back long enough for a feud then just have the IIconics beat Becky and Charlotte in the final (if it even is a tournament). Hopefully they establish new teams quickly because I don't want the title history to end up being a bunch of singles wrestlers thrown together. |

I hated when the Raw tag division in the early 2000's consisted of this, but all of the above duos have well established history and wouldn't just be thrown together for the sake of competing in a tournament. |

It should definitely be the Bellas. I feel like this would legitimize their position in the HoF if that day ever comes because we're seemingly forgetting about Nikki being the longest reigning Divas Champion and any other woman who held it apparently. But I also feel like Brie deserves the achievement. And the Bellas are probably the longest running female tag team we've had and even though they've had a few break ups, they always found their way back to each other. And it'd be a great way for them to officially retire after a reign with them.
If it can't be them I definitely agree about it being an established team. The IIconics or the Riot Squad. I'd normally suggest Sonya and Mandy, but of the three I just mentioned the other two are stronger cohesive units. I'd love for Charlotte/Becky to eventually have a shot at it, but Becky needs to focus on getting the SD title back and Charlotte doesn't need it at the moment, but I'd love for them to have it down the line.
God help us all if it turns out to be Alexa/Mickie or Sasha/Bayley. Ugh too bad the Funkadactly's are extinct. They would've been my second choice.

This is really hard. I keep running through scenarios and I'm content with several.
An established team winning outright and carrying them for awhile would be okay. I think The Iconics deserve it. They came in hot and then their booking went to shit quickly. They feel the most like an actual team. I'm not really here for Sarah Logan as part of a team. Liv and Ruby have the better dynamic but Ruby's put for however long. I like Mandy and Sonya but definitely not as the first holders.
The Bellas would of course be great as the first winners, but I think I'd prefer them to come out as a surprise the following Raw/Smackdown and challenge whoever wins the tournament(assuming) and immediately win then. So a random thrown together team initially winning would be fine or even let Liv and Sarah do it so Liv can team with Ruby later and Sarah can leave or go solo or leave. Alicia and Dana could use that spot though.
From a standpoint that would probably only appeal to me I want them to pair up Natalya and Naomi despite being on separate brands. They work really well together and have a funny dynamic. Nattie as the clueless out of touch cat lady and Naomi side-eyeing and trying to get Nattie up to date with current pop culture would entertain me endlessly. The contrast of Naomi being flashy and Nattie being more straightforward/repetitive in their movesets could pair together well too. I would be into them being reluctantly partnered and ultimately winning.
Since I'm assuming this will go down during the women's PPV and I'm also assuming they'll be calling in veterans, a Mickie/Trish team that doesn't ultimately win would be cute.
Leaning towards Iconics winning and Brie and Nikki coming back the following PPV and stating they're the originals and blah blah blah and taking the titles.
