1. Sasha Banks - I don't know what she's like backstage, but as a performer she's at the top. Understands how to make everything seem special, whether it's against Charlotte, Alexa or Nia Jax the other week. May not be the purest babyface, but she's the most exciting and can still garner sympathy. Her only pitfall is her speaking, and she's improved. If you go through the roster, Charlotte, Becky, Bayley, Nia, Alexa ... they've all had their best matches against Sasha. Arguably Summer too. Naomi and Tamina did well against her, and when Paige fell into a rut she regained fire in their matches together.
2. Becky Lynch - Purest babyface on the roster. Has yet to replicate her match against Sasha on NXT, but remains really popular and should be the one that Carmella cashes in on.
3. Naomi - I've always loved her but never thought she'd get her moment in the current climate, so this year has been against revelation. She's found her glow (lols) and will hopefully remain featured despite losing last night. I'm still waiting for that breakout match but she's hampered by not having come through NXT.
4. Charlotte Flair - She hasn't fully hit her stride yet, but the face turn on SmackDown has and should do her wonders. Like Sasha she just has so much presence and drama about her.
5. Emma - Sometimes she can seem dead behind the eyes, but when she's on she's just so good. She's been losing, but at least there's been some tiny bit of character development lately. Hopefully the title change will give her a chance to show what she can do against Sasha.
6. Alexa Bliss - Still not fully there but keeps getting better in the ring. As a character and speaker she's so good. I loved her match at SummerSlam. Interested to see how she copes with the inevitable face turn.
7. Bayley - She has definitely fallen but I feel like she can still regain momentum after a break from the top. I think a lot of the hate is justified in regards to her writing, but Bayley herself remains one of their best assets if used properly.
8. Carmella - Wrestling is a step below Alexa, character is fully realised. Ellsworth did her wonders. I'm just worried if she has the skills and presence to fully have a run for it as a champion.
9. Natalya - This is the best she's ever been, ever since the brand split started. I'm happy she's gotten her chance.
10. Tamina - She's not perfect and never has been, but I'm delighted that against all odds they're giving her something to run with. I feel like she's done really well this past few months.
11. Lana - I like Lana and I'm glad they're moving her away from the ring and into a manager role again.
12. Mickie James - Raw is hampering her a little, but then she was hardly on fire on SmackDown. I think she has lots to offer still, but needs to change it up. I like her as kind of Raw's Natalya.
13. Maryse - I think she's proven a lot to people since returning about how valuable she can be as a valet and character, myself included.
14. Dana Brooke - I think she's getting better. All the same she's so clearly better suited to playing goofy heel, and I wish they'd just reunite EnD.
15. Nikki Bella - Had the best run of her career there, but I'm tentative to rank her higher till she returns.
16. Nia Jax - I feel bad for her because she does have potential. I just think her booking has been terrible, they've done nothing to hide her limitations and she's miscast as a monster.
17. Paige - It's been forever. I don't suspect she'll come back but I want to see her have a run at it. I think she has the most potential out of the inactive women to make a run at the top.
18. Alicia Fox - I've never been a big fan really. I think she's a good talent who is great as enhancement talent, but her lack of charisma makes me iffish about her ever taking a bigger role. I found the Cruiserweight stuff cringy.
19. Summer Rae - I like Summer but I suspect she's done.
20. Maria - Not a fan.
