I don't think we've done this in years.
You don't have to do this many. I was going to do a top 10 but just kept going.
1. Grand Theft Auto: San Andreas (PS2) 2. Twisted Metal 2 (PS1) 3. Metal Gear Solid 2: Sons of Liberty (PS2) 4. Grand Theft Auto: Vice City (PS2) 5. Die Hard Trilogy (PS1) 6. Command & Conquer: Red Alert (PC) 7. Silent Hill 4: The Room (PS2) 8. Streets of Rage 2 (SEGA) 9. Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) 10. Resident Evil (PS1) 11. Tomb Raider III (PS1) 12. Sonic the Hedgehog 2 (SEGA) 13. The Last of Us (PS3) 14. WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain (PS2) 15. Call of Duty: Black Ops (PS3) 16. Silent Hill 2 (PS2) 17. Grand Theft Auto III (PS2) 18. Theme Park World (PC) 19. Metal Gear Solid 3: Snake Eater (PS2) 20. The Warriors (PS2) 21. Football Manager (PC) 22. The Evil Within (PS4) 23. Urban Chaos (PS1) 24. FIFA World Cup 98 (PS1) 25. Tomb Raider II (PS1)
The PS1/PS2 years were definitely my peak time as a gamer.

1. Tomb Raider III - The weapons, the outfits, the locations, the score, etc. Just an all around perfect game.
2. Pokémon Yellow - I debated whether Yellow or Crystal is truly my favorite Pokémon game, but Kanto will ALWAYS have my heart. Plus, Pikachu. 💛
3. Resident Evil: Code Veronica - Probably the first game where I got SO deep and invested in the story and it drove me to finish it. Claire was a great protagonist, and Chris was fine as hell, and I made it my mission to get her off of that damn island and reunite her with him. And I loved exploring the Ashford's creepy, dilapidated mansion.
4. Twisted Metal 2 - My friend and I played this sooo much, I think we discovered every single Easter egg. Like how you could blow up the Statue of Liberty and there'd be another one underneath it in a bikini, or how if you fell off a certain building in New York, the lights below spelled out S-E-X. Grasshopper was my favorite, and had the best ending. 💚
5. X-Men Legends - I'd kill for another game like this. It had pretty much every A-list mutant, aside from Psylocke and Kitty Pryde. I would fucking WRECK as Jean Grey and be flying around, pushing levers and opening doors from far away with my telekinesis, and also smashing through walls by throwing large objects through them. Not to mention building telekinetic bridges for my teammates. Rogue and Storm were also fuckin it up as well. Whenever I'd get to the final levels on Asteroid M I'd always make my team Jean, Wolverine, Cyclops and Emma Frost for the heightened romantic drama.
6. Portal Runner - This was just a random spinoff of Army Men that I got from Walmart because it was $20, but it ended up having a pretty awesome story. Very Wizard of Oz. And the menu theme was kick ass.
7. WWF SmackDown! 2: Know Your Role - I used to love creating pay-per-views and trying to top my own ratings. And what a great roster this game had. I remember making Chyna WWF Champion and thinking that was really cool, lol. And I got hype as fuck when I realized unlocking wrestlers was a thing and I unlocked Billy Gunn.
8. Buffy the Vampire Slayer - Buffy's outfits fucking shitted and it was so cool getting to play levels that were based on places from the show, like the high school or Angel's mansion or the docks.
9. Dragon Age: Inquisition - This was the first game I played that was like it, and since trying others that are similar, none of them compare. I really just love the whole time period and fantasy thing, and my Inquisitor came out hot as fuck, and I grew to love my squad. It got the point where I would put this on with the intention of only doing a couple of side missions, and then suddenly it'd be eight hours later.
10. Grand Theft Auto 5 - I liked other Grand Theft Auto games, but none as much as this one. And obviously I have a ton of fun memories from playing it with you guys.
11. Tomb Raider (2013) - The more I started to see of this game as its release approached, the more apprehensive I became, but like the Power Rangers movie, it delivered. I definitely miss the original Lara, but the new one isn't so bad, and I loved the character growth she went through as the story progressed. The radio tower part was so exciting, and the shanty town.
12. Alice: Madness Returns - Similar to Portal Runner, something about this game's story resonated with me.
13. Batman: Arkham City - ALL of the Arkham games have been great, and I was torn between including this or Asylum, but I loved the free roam in City, and being able to play as Catwoman.
14. Tomb Raider II - I mean, how great were those Italy levels? And the underwater ones where Lara debuted the first of many iconic costume changes to come over the years. Her voice actress from II and III is still my favorite, too. III has the edge for having a better plot, though.
15. Mighty Morphin Power Rangers: The Movie - I can't tell you how many times my friend and I rented this. Aisha basically fought like Naomi and would jump up in the air and slam her ass down on Putties and we would laugh hysterically. And I always preferred to hold off on morphing because my girl Kimberly was slaying in a tube top and shorts.
16. Fighting Force - I still can't believe how innovative this game was with weapons. Every time my friend and I played I feel like we discovered something new you could hit someone with or throw someone into - or off of. And the fighters were iconic.
17. WWE SmackDown vs. Raw 2010 - This one had SUCH a good Diva roster, and like GTA I have memories of playing with Burke (and bbsy). I squashed bbsy with Maryse when he was playing with Beth Phoenix one time. 😂
18. Marvel: Ultimate Alliance 2 - Both of these games were amazing, but this one had better graphics, and my bitch, Jean Grey. And in her Phoenix costume, at that. She wasn't QUITE as iconic as she was in X-Men Legends, but I guess they didn't want to do too much on the Avengers. And the Civil War plot gave the game replay value; even if the story didn't change too much.
19. Until Dawn - Speaking of replay value, this game probably has the most on this list. It may actually be the only game I've gotten a 100% completion trophy for. So well written and creepy with great characters. I wish they'd release something similar. In fact I was really just hoping the new Friday the 13th game would have the same concept.
20. WWE SmackDown! Here Comes the Pain - I was torn between whether or not to include this or WWE SmackDown! Shut Your Mouth, but then I remembered that this one had Sable, and the Women's Championship, and Bra & Panties matches.
21. Tomb Raider: Angel of Darkness - The last of the classic Lara games, which in retrospect made the darker theme quite fitting. It was definitely a glitchy, flawed mess, but I loved that there was a bit of free roam in it, and some of the levels were breathtakingly beautiful. The sewer, Louvre, night club and roof top levels specifically stand out to me. I loved the ending where Lara picks up the Sanglyph and the classic theme plays as she makes her exit.
22. Resident Evil (2002) - Iconic, and it still holds up fifteen years later. I'm honestly surprised they don't give more games face-lifts considering what a success this one was.
23. Bully - Another nostalgia one, and it was still fun when I replayed it recently. It's Grand Theft Auto, but about a teenager who you can give a makeover and male love interests, so it was perfectly appealing to me at the time of it's release.
24. Lollipop Chainsaw - I still feel like somehow, this game was created specifically for me lol.
25. Twisted Metal III - You know, at the time I didn't appreciate Twisted Metal III as much. I guess because of how GREAT Twisted Metal 2 was, but this one was good too. It had that great Rob Zombie soundtrack, and I quite liked Flower Power (whose character name I just discovered was Amber Rose lol).

Holy shit, I didn't include The Sims 2. Scrap Twisted Metal III and put The Sims at #3.
Another game I'm pretty sure I played so much I discovered every Easter egg for it. Like how male Sims could get pregnant if they got abducted by aliens which was super rare, or how your Sim could be killed by a swarm of flies if you let your house get dirty enough.

The 2013 Tomb Raider is one I forgot to include on my list.
The Thing game for PS2 is another I just remembered.
There's probably quite a few more that I'm not thinking of right now.

I'm terrible at rankings cause I often leave things out or order them incorrectly, so I'm just going to trim the fat and only mention my all time favorite games and games that I played for years:
#1) Mass Effect 2 The greatest game ever made, imo. People laugh at the facial animations, but those people are superficial idiots. The story, the characters, the music, THE ENDING which was insanely entertaining and strategic and stressful as fuck because they told you ahead of release that you could die at the end if you made the wrong decisions. I proudly made good decisions and kept all of my (important) squad members alive (sorry Kelly). No game has ever been on this level for me since, not even another Mass Effect game *glares at Andromeda*. I went into it with all the hype in the universe after Mass Effect one, and not only did it live up to it, it shattered it.
#2) Grand Theft Auto V The GTA games during the PS2 era were amazing with III, Vice City, and San Andreas above the rest. Then, although I wasn't a huge fan of the story or characters, IV was groundbreaking on the next gen systems. But then V came out and just blew them all out of the water. A beautiful mix of the past games with a great setting (bias), great characters, an awesome soundtrack, and the multiplayer was A+. It may have had a rough start on the last gen, but when they re-released it on PS4 and XB1, they hit 10 home runs out of the ballpark. VI has a hard act to follow, but with how successful and replayable V still is, Rockstar doesn't need to worry about that for a while; I'd just be happy with new DLC.
#3) Red Dead Redemption Speaking of amazing Rockstar Games, who knew Grand Theft Auto on horses could be so damn fun? This game had such a good feel to it, and often creepy at times, even without the Zombie DLC (BEARS!!.. ZOMBIE BEARS!!!). The story of John Marston's redemption (hence the name) was so compelling and heartbreaking; Possibly Rockstar's best storytelling to date. And the world was fantastically built, containing everything you needed in a western. From the streets of St Louis inspired Black Water, all the way to the golden mines of California; The plains of Nebraska to the rocky mountains of Colorado; The scum filled gambling halls of the New Orleans bayou, to the wild saloons of a small Texas town; Even crossing the Rio Grande down to the corrupted streets of Mexico. It literally had it all, even an old timey train to take you from place to place. This was also the first Rockstar Game to incorporate random events, like an NPC robbing the bank, or a shootout starting out at the corral, even drunken miscreants trying to rape and kill prostitutes and saloon girls so you got to play the hero (or stay in your lane if you're an awful person). And I'd never trust a bitch in the middle of nowhere talking bout "Help me, mister" cause I knew it was an ambush, so I'd just lasso her ass and take all them bitches out. It was the first Rockstar game to have an ecosystem with wildlife too, and let me tell you I NEVER went out at night cause of those damn coyotes, mountain lions, and BEARS!!! And I spent hours upon hours upon hours playing poker, blackjack, and liars dice (my favorite game that I play in real life now) raking up my bank account. And when I'd get bored of playing by the rules, I'd go hog tie a saloon girl and leave her on the railroad tracks, cause sue me, it's the wild wild west. Whew, what a game. I need a cigarette and a whiskey.
#4) Batman: Arkham Knight Obviously all of the Arkham games are great, even Origins which I feel gets a bad rap, but Arkham Knight was the complete package where I actually felt like Batman. The first game was great and unexpected. The story was good, the characters were perfect, and it was fun feeling like Batman stuck in this madhouse solving mysteries and doing good detective work. Then City came out, and you got to spread your capewings and glidefly. They introduced even more characters and some iconic locations around the mean crime filled streets of Gotham City, but something was still missing: The car; Chicks dig the car. It was the final piece of the puzzle that was missing, and it was done beautifully. I spent 3 days of my life LIVING in this game. The first of the franchise that I got to 100% (I tried with City, I really did). For 3 damn days I WAS Batman, and it was amazing. The story was great, with a good mystery and a wonderful (though predictable) twist, and it was a great way to wrap up the series. Plus the game had so much DLC people didn't know what to do with it all. From a series that just kept delivering game after game, this was the best.
#5) Roller Coaster Tycoon 3 RCT 1 & 2 were classics and kept my ass in a computer chair for a good couple years, but when they went 3D with RCT3, my world changed lol. Even though now I have Planet Coaster to cater to my Roller Coaster needs, RCT3 was the game that stood the test of time. I was playing it daily just last year; 12 YEARS after it's release. You could ride the rides, and that just made everything so wonderful. Not only were you building the park, you got to experience it yourself. The graphics were so good for it's time that I couldn't run it smoothly on my computer until 2009 lol. The ability to import your own music and images meant I made the most amazing Star Wars, Tomb Raider, Simpsons, etc. themed rides to put in my parks. God, my Indiana Jones ride was THE SHIT. I wish I still had all my parks I had ever made, but sadly computer swapping and viruses cleaned most of them out for good. Tho I do have some good parks on this computer still that I might revisit one day.
#6) WWE 2k16 I'm just putting this one at the top to represent all the wrestling games that came before it. Sure, Shut Your Mouth and Here Comes the Pain are legendary, as is SmackDown 2, but if you play them today, the game play just doesn't hold up. They've gotten the match mechanics down great now, and the graphics are fantastic, even if facial expressions are still a little wonky at times. Sure, the story modes that made SYM, HCtP, SvR06/07 great are gone and replaced by some repetitive career mode, but the Showcase mode is usually pretty fun and well done, and with Universe mode and the unbelievable amount of customization options in the games now, you don't need that. You can just do it yourself. Just takes a little imagination, and it's always more fun with friends. The ability to change a superstars looks, the arenas, the championships, choose your rosters, all of that are great and make replayability so high. 2k16 and 2k17 are probably the best wrestling games of all time, and 17 even improved on so many features (with a better roster). The only reason I put 16 above it here is because they went and did some funky stuff to CAW mode in 17 that I hope they fix in 18.
#7) The Sims 3 The Sims is a great game. Who knew a simulator for life could be so addicting that you waste your own playing it lol. From it's humble beginnings, to the vastly improved Sims 2, to imo the peak of the franchise with the Sims 3. The fact that they took you from the household, to an entire town, was amazing. You weren't just watching your sims live anymore, you were watching the town. Their neighbors doing shit. Going to the park, going to work, throwing parties, growing up along side your sims. You felt like you were part of the entire town's story. It was just great. Then they went and ruined it with part 4 by making it all about a single lot again and making all of your sims bipolar. No thank you. Sims 1 was cute and fun, Sims 2 was great, but Sims 3 is where it's at.
#8) Galactic Battlegrounds Lol, y'all aint going to know what the hell this is, but I played the shit out of it. It was basically Age of Empires II, but with star wars characters. I loved this game. You could play as the Rebel Alliance, the Empire, the Wookies, hell they even let you play as the Gungans lol. You started with a command center and a few workers, just like Age of Empires, and over time you build your base, gather resources, discover new technologies, build an army, and decimate your foes. But instead of just warriors, you had an army of storm troopers, AT-ATs, and tie fighters; it was great. They had hero characters as well like Luke, Han, Leia, Vader, Anikan, Padme, Obi-Wan (old & young) and the entire crew you could play as, with a fantastic story mode that took place before, during, and after all the movies. The best part of the game was getting bored with it and deciding to type in the cheat "That's no moon" and obliterate your enemies with the mother fucking Death Star, or for a slower but just as invincible approach, take Simon the Killer Ewok out for a stroll. Such a great game, I might throw it in right now tbh.
HONORABLE MENTIONS: L.A. Noire Spider-Man 2 Limbo Mario Party Mario Kart Pokemon Tomb Raider Halo 2 (multiplayer) Golden-Eye (multiplayer) Super Mario Bros. 3 Gran Turismo 3 Forza Motorsport 2 World of Warcraft (tbh)
I'm sure I'm missing so many, but like I said before, I'm not good at lists. There are so many games I've enjoyed over the years, but my favorites are up there.

I need Rockstar to hurry up and bring out a new Red Dead game so I can finally experience it. Me and my friends played this so much. I actually tried to get my parents to buy me an N64 just because I loved it so much. They wouldn't though because I already had a PlayStation.
