This was surprisingly decent. Since it was gonna be in 3D I was thinking it'd be shitty, but I actually really enjoyed it. It was a bit cheesy at times, they added a lot of slow-mo shots and stare downs, but I ended up loving it.
It was similar to the game, well Resident Evil 5 at least. And Alice used to annoy me, with all her powers, but she was pretty cool in this movie. They dropped a lot of the stupid things from the previous movies (like her having powers and the clone thing). Claire was awesome. Chris was really cool too. I'd love to see them base the movie just off those two. And with Claire, she actually looked like Claire in this movie (her hair and her pink vest). Honestly I say give it a shot, I know 3D is expensive, but it's worth a shot. And stay during the credits, there's nothing after them, but there's something in the middle of it.

I'm watching this now, but I'm not really feeling it yet. Wentworth Miller is a busted Jensen Ackles. If that's what they were going for, why didn't they just hire the real thing?

James Wan is apparently directing it. I've only ever seen a few of the Saw movies he was part of and I honestly don't remember anything about them.

He's kind of a horror legend, so I think that's good news. I can totally see him capturing the creepiness of the mansion if they stick to the games.

He couldn't do any worse than Paul W.S. Anderson if he tried

I hope they just throw a random character named Alice in there who dies right away.
