I haven't seen it yet but the director pulled a prank on a Brazilian TV show to help promote the film.
“The Conjuring 2” hits theaters this weekend and no doubt about it, the crowd will be scared by James Wan’s latest horror flick. Based on true events, the film follows real-life paranormal investigators Ed and Lorraine Warren (Patrick Wilson and Vera Farmiga) as they attempt to expunge a demonic presence in a small town in London.
To promote the movie in Brazil, Wan created a terrifying prank inspired by the film for the show “Programa Silvo Santos. In the video the helmer says, “I know how much you like ‘pegadinhas’ [which translates to pranks], so check out this one inspired by my new movie.”
The prank involved caregivers who were sent to a young woman, who is actually an actress pretending to be possessed. The production team created a set where the crosses on the wall would turn upside down, the doors would lock, furniture would slide across the room, the girl would slide up the wall and a demonic, blood-stained nun would come out of a wardrobe. Yes, it’s as freaky as it sounds!
The poor, innocent women screamed to death after they had to wake up the girl to give her her medicine and experience the horrifying prank. Watch the terrorizing stunt below.
