This literally made me so mad. What a trashy tirade to go on when speaking about someone else's journey, and then to sound like a complete hypocrite and, quite frankly, ass, by bashing Colton for not being a role model to "little gays" and then ending the interview by stating that he HIMSELF doesn't want to be a role model because he's got his own shit going on. Um, like Colton? I've never even watched The Real O'Neals but I'm ready for it to be cancelled - which it will be - so this little twat can disappear, because then we'll never have to hear some dumb shit like this from him again.
Noah Galvin isn't holding back.
In an outspoken new interview, the star of The Real O'Neals talks coming out in Hollywood and has a few foul-mouthed words for fellow actor Colton Haynes.
When Vulture asked if Galvin knows Haynes, Galvin replied that the Arrow star is "the worst" and went on to slam the actor's "sort-of" coming out.
"That's not coming out," the 22-year-old said of Haynes, 27. "That's fucking pussy bullshit. That's like, 'Enough people assume that I sleep with men, so I'm just going to slightly confirm the fact that I've sucked a dick or two.' "
"That's not doing anything for the little gays but giving them more masturbation material," he added.
In a recent interview with Entertainment Weekly, Haynes did admit that he should have made a statement, but he just wasn't ready for that.
"I didn't feel like I owed anyone anything," Haynes said. "I think in due time, everyone has to make those decisions when they're ready, and I wasn't yet. But I felt like I was letting people down by not coming forward with the rest of what I should have said."
As for Galvin's coming-out, it was a process as well.
"I had made the decision for myself that I was gay," he said. "I knew I was gay. I had settled the fact, but wasn't sharing it with anybody at the time."
Galvin recalls dating and falling in love with a girl then becoming confused. He admitted to finally getting up the nerve to come out to her and the pair have been close friends ever since.
Although dating has not been easy for the actor.
"My dating life is already pretty slutty because I look like a 12-year-old. Being on TV just adds another level of difficulty to the dating thing," Galvin said. "First of all, I'm gay, and that's just hard because gays are naturally a promiscuous collective of people. So there's the lack of monogamy and then there's me looking like a 12-year-old."
"Gay boys my age are either club kids or they're in college and they haven't come out yet and they're still DL on Grindr," he added. "So I tend to date people that are slightly older, but then I get into this situation where they're just, like, twink hunters. I'm like, 'No, I don't want to date you, you 45-year-old man.' "
Galvin also admits that being looked to as a role model is not necessarily a challenge he's accepting.
"It does get really intense," he says of fans reaching out with their stories. "I do have to be very careful about what I respond to and what I don't. I'm learning how to deal with it all."
"I'm still figuring out my own bullshit. I've got struggles of my own," he continues. "I don't have time to be your fucking soothsayer."
