Macklemore is accusing white artists of appropriating black culture, including Miley Cyrus and Iggy Azalea — and himself. Macklemore released a new track called “White Privilege II” that references Cyrus, Azalea and Elvis Presley for taking black culture and making it their own through pop, hip-hop and early rock n’ roll.
In the track he also takes a more subtle shot at himself with the line “you’ve heisted the magic,” a reference to his LP The Heist with Ryan Lewis. He also talks about his own marching in Black Lives Matter protests and his motives for doing so. You can see the verse where he takes his shots below:
“You’re Miley, you’re Elvis, you’re Iggy Azalea Fake and so plastic, you’ve heisted the magic You’ve taken the drums and the accent you rapped in You’re branded hip-hop, it’s so fascist and backwards That Grandmaster Flash’d go slap it, you bastard”
You can listen to the full track above. The track has already touched some nerves; Azalea took to Twitter to reply to a fan asking about it:
That in turn brought out rapper and activist Talib Kweli, who unloaded on Azalea:
Iggy and Talib then went back and forth for ages. There's way too many tweets to post. He may have meant well but Macklemore is so annoying to me. And I like Talib but it seems like he was just looking for an excuse to jump on Iggy here.

How transparent of Macklemore.
Let's not forget this is the same man who dressed and performed as a caricature of a Jew.

Ironic. He's profiting from making music about appropriation just because he's white. If he were not white it possibly wouldn't do so well and insecure white people would bitch about it being racist and dividing. He's appropriating struggle.

I can't even take her seriously anymore, honestly.
Even Burke can name better than that.

I guess and I know you're not supposed to judge based on looks or whatever, but I am. I'm also guessing there's no way he's good. Before you ask, I'm 50% sure that other guy isn't Kevin Owens.
