www.forbes.com/sites/natalierobehmed/2015/12/22/hollywoods-most-overpaid-actors-of-2015-johnny-depp-leads-denzel-washington-will-ferrell/Poor Johnny Depp. As Captain Sparrow, he could do no wrong: his last four Pirates of the Caribbean movies grossed a combined $3.7 billion, making it one of the most successful franchises ever. But as Lord Charlie in Mortdecai or Dr. Will Caster in Transcendence, he failed to strike box office gold despite pocketing millions personally. Depp is this year’s most overpaid actor: His recent movies returned just $1.20 for every $1 he was paid on them. In second place is Denzel Washington, who returned a dismal $6.50 for every $1 he earned from his recent films.

I honestly thought it was going to be Adam Sandler, and I'm quite surprised not to see him on the top 10.
Johnny Depp should join one of the superhero franchises, before movie studios catch on to him being so overpaid and stop casting him in movies.

I honestly thought it was going to be Adam Sandler, and I'm quite surprised not to see him on the top 10. He was the most overpaid the previous two years in a row but apparently he didn't have enough theatrical releases to be eligible this year. So yay for him I guess. He avoided being bottom on a technicality.

Glad to see Sandler back in the top 10, he deserves it.
