Nikki Bella Tops PWI Female 50

Pro Wrestling Illustrated has revealed the woman atop its annual Female 50 list: Nikki Bella.

The magazine revealed their pick on Twitter:

She made a huge leap this year, jumping from the #24 spot on last year's list, which was topped by Paige.

Nikki reacted to the news in an interview on their official podcast, which you can listen to on their official website.

In the podcast, PWI explained their choice in depth and revealed the rest of the top five:

1. Nikki Bella
2. Paige
3. Sasha Banks (highest debut in Female 50 history)
4. Santana Garrett
5. Gail Kim

The rest of the list will be revealed when PWI's 2015 Female 50 issue is published digitally tomorrow, November 5th. This issue will also be available in print in early December.

I remember always seeing PWI Magazine back in the day. My Mum would only buy me one magazine at a time though so I would usually choose WWE or RAW Magazine. I'd hang around the magazine section forever though and read half of the ones that I didn't buy before I left. I'm surprised they never kicked me out for treating it like a library.

I'm happy for Nikki. Even though it's a mostly kayfabe list it's still a nice accomplishment to have on your resume.

I assumed she was number one in 2012 and/or 2013 when she was at her peak but apparently Gail Kim and Cheerleader Melissa were on top those years.

Also, looking at the past results, I forgot Maryse was in the top 10 twice.
