I didn't like Mike in the very first scene he was introduced but then he became my favourite guy. He was SO close to surviving for me. He died literally 30 seconds before the game ended.
I wanted him to survive alongside Sam for me. I wanted Jessica to survive too but she died quite a bit earlier. I'm gonna make sure she lives next time.

I replayed the final episode, and this time I saved Sam, Mike, Emily, Chris, Jess and Matt. I'm tempted to see if I can save Ashley and Josh, but that may create another butterfly effect that effects the other characters, and we can't have that.

Is it possible to save Josh? I thought he was screwed no matter what you do.

Is it possible to save Josh? I thought he was screwed no matter what you do. If you find a certain clue in the last episode as Sam, Hannah and Josh will recognize each other and she'll take him away without killing him, and then post-credits when the police go down into the mines to investigate, Josh has eaten The Stranger to survive, and I guess he then turns into a Wendigo and kills them.

What was the creepiest part for you? For me it was when the deers trap you at the edge of the cliff. I hate deers. Also, when Sam is in the bath listening to music and that clown-like figure appears behind her.

Honestly, probably being in the mines alone as Emily in episode 7. Like I said, at that point I thought she was dead, so it was just surreal in general, on top of being in a strange, creepy new location. And I kept seeing the flamethrower going off in the dark, and I still thought he was the killer at that point and I knew he was down there with her. That part where you have to trek around to turn the power on, I kept waiting for him to jump out and kill her at any minute. And then in the next chapter when she's running from the Wendigo, that was probably the most hyped with adrenaline that I got playing the game. That and running from The Psycho as Sam when she's in her towel, lol.
But Mike and Jess's trek to the cabin at the beginning was also really creepy, and even when Mike was exploring it when they got there. It was still so early in the game and I was waiting for the shit to hit the fan, and boy did it.
Oh, and exploring the sanitarium as Mike. Mostly because I had answered that dogs scared me just before that, so I was expecting him to get fucked up by The Stranger's wolves. That's why I panicked and chopped his fingers off when he got caught at the bear trap, lol.

Ahh! I played the last episode again and killed Mike AGAIN. I went for the switch on the second prompt this time but it was still too early to save him. I need to hide at that part next time.

Once they made it back to the lodge I just set the controller down on the floor, since from that point all you have to do is stand still and use the analog to make decisions.

The "don't move" parts make me so nervous. I hold my breath and try not to move a muscle until they're over. My time of deaths both times I've played so far: Chris died at 0430. Ashley died at 0525. Emily died at 0450. Matt died at 0207. Jessica died at 0012. Mike died at 0652. Josh died at 0623. I didn't think Jess died THAT early. And poor Mike was just 8 minutes away from dawn.

lol I read that Jessica can be the sole survivor without ever knowing what happened to the other characters, since she spends most of the game down in the mines. I wonder what that interview tape is like.

I was so confused when I heard her shouting for help down in the mines later on. I know I already saw her die but there were other people who had survived when I had written them off as dead already so I sent Ashley off to investigate and obviously that didn't end well for her. To be fair, I didn't know Wendigo's could mimic human voices.

lol, poor Ashley. That's how she died in my game, too. Sometimes I would make 'dumb' decisions on purpose, thinking that it had to be a trick. I was sure that exploring the noise would lead to a better outcome than simply sticking with the group.
To be fair, Jess was still alive in my game at that point. Though, for some reason Mike kept insisting she wasn't...

I saved Mike this time! Oh, and Josh too.
Sam died though. It was weird. She was hiding and the don't move thing came up and it went red after a few seconds. I had put the controller down though so there's no way there was any movement. Unless hiding at that point just makes you die automatically.

Weird. You are supposed to hide at that point.
Did you set the controller down on a really flat surface? I believe the controller vibrates really softly during those parts to make it more difficult, but my carpet is really thick so that didn't really matter when I set my controller down.

I put it down on the table. I had my laptop next to it though so maybe like the hot air coming out of the bottom of it somehow made the controller vibrate a little.
