A day after the U.S. Supreme Court's historic ruling to end the ban on same-sex marriages nationwide, London held a gay pride parade. It looked like a blast: There were lots of people, lots of colors, lots of flags. Basically, everything you want in a stellar celebration. But there was one thing that was pretty curious, and CNN was on it for an exclusive. The news outlet spotted a conspicuous-looking man, dressed in black, waving what appeared to be an ISIS banner amid a crush of revellers: Yikes. Just after the sighting, CNN International's Lucy Pawle noted: "This man, quite distinctive from the rest of the crowd, he was dressed in black and white ... was waving what appears to be a very bad mimicry ... of the ISIS flag, with a distinctive lettering." Fortunately for the organisers of Pride in London, but unfortunately for CNN editor Lucy Pawle, the flag shown to shocked viewers across the world was in fact a celebration of anal sex toys. The varieties can be seen in the closeup below. Pawle proudly declared on air that she was “the only person who has spotted this”. While she hasn’t commented on the mistake, she did retweet a viewer’s reaction:
