I mean, it isn't Child's Play lol. It's IT and it's gotten great reviews, held the #1 spot for two weeks and it's one of the biggest movies this year, box office wise.
But if that's the case, maybe they can at least snag J-Law.

I just got back from seeing this.
It wasn't as scary as I'd hoped it would be, like only two things made me jump, but it was still really good.
I didn't have time to check out the original before I went, but I'll definitely be checking it out now.

I've just finished watching the original, having decided to watch it over two days, and honestly, it was just okay.
The first half was pretty fun, and was definitely the highlight of the movie, but it goes down hill pretty quickly as soon as the kids return to Derry as adults. I think the biggest let down is that they don't get to fight Pennywise at the end, instead fighting It's spider form, which was really shit, to be honest.
The new movie is definitely much better than the original.

The original was always notoriously terrible, which is why I never got caught up in the hype for this one and couldn't understand why people were suddenly holding the original in such high regard. Burke being such a big fan is the first hint the original was awful. Everyone just likes Tim Curry and the Georgie scene.
Having said that, I have heard this one is much better, so I'll check it out when I can. The marketing people for this movie all deserve one hell of a bonus tho.

I watched it last night.
The Georgie scene was terrifying just like the original. The rest wasn’t really scary but I still liked it.
I hope they get a decent cast for the sequel because the acting in the second part of the original was pretty bad. It shouldn’t be too hard to top.

I wasn't looking forward to this as much as the first chapter but this trailer is good. That scene in the old woman's house is super creepy.
