This might actually be pretty good. They're splitting the movie into 2 parts, like the TV version was. Which makes sense cause the book is almost twice as long as the longest Harry Potter book (seriously, it's over 1,100 pages). They put an easter egg of Tim Curry's Pennywise in the new trailer:

I just found out that the children have an orgy in the book because they decide it's the only way they can bring unity back to the group 💀

I would run straight home if I walked in and saw that. Fuck that. I'd be too scared to stop to ask for a refund.

I want to watch the original before I see the new one, but there's no way I'm watching a 3 hour movie, so does anybody know what the halfway point would be? I downloaded it and I'd assume it's the scene where the kids are like "Let's not talk about this" or whatever they say, but I can't find anything online to back me up on that. Burke , let me know.

There's a point were the kids make a pact to return to Derry and deal with Pennywise if he ever returns. I'm pretty sure that's basically the halfway point. I've always liked the first part the best when they're kids. The stuff with them as adults isn't as good imo.

Yeah, I agree with Burke. The stuff where they're kids is the best, but there are a lot of good/creepy parts when they're older. Just watch it in two sittings to give yourself a break, that's what I should have done.

I remember the original terrifying me until I saw the second half when they were adults and then it wasn't scary anymore

Oh btw I saw this Friday and it was very good, you should all go see it. Ben was the MVP.
Also, Burke claims to have read the book and does anyone actually believe that?

Everyone including the director and the actress who played young Beverly want Jessica Chastain for the sequel, but it literally has to be Amy Adams.

I know everyone is raving about this, but I don't see them getting big name stars, because yeah it's Stephen King, but at the end of the day it's still a horror movie about a clown, and Jennifer Tilly once said that actors have a mindset that horror movies are either the beginning of your career, or the end of it.
