Antigay N.D. Politician Outed Through Grindr

Republican state representative Randy Boehning has voted against LGBT-inclusive legislation three times.
North Dakota politician Randy Boehning got caught with his pants down when 21-year-old Dustin Smith showed a local Fargo newspaper explicit photos the state rep. sent him via Grindr.
When Boehning, who recently voted against protecting gay North Dakotans from housing and employment discrimination, was confronted with the evidence, he came out as bisexual.
"That's what gay guys do on gay sites, don't they?" Boehning told Inforum. "That's how things happen on Grindr. It's a gay chat site. It's not the first thing you do on that site. That's what we do, exchange pics on the site."
Boehning said Smith's reveal was retribution for the politician voting against the antidiscrimination bill. Boehning's reasoning for his antigay votes: he claims his south Fargo constituents wanted it that way.
Even though he's been publicly humiliated and accused of hypocrisy, Boehning says it feels good to stop lying.
"The 1,000-pound gorilla has been lifted," he told Inforum. "I have to confront it at some point."
