Pennywise is the main one for me but I want to talk about a less obvious one.
Don't laugh, but Old Man Marley from Home Alone was so scary to me. And not even just the first time I watched it either. Even upon re-watching it and knowing that he turns out to be a good guy he still creeped me out.
Actually, Home Alone in general is way darker than it gets credit for. The whole premise of the movie is basically two violent criminals trying to murder an abandoned young boy.
And shit, now that I think about it, the pigeon lady from the second movie freaked me out too.

Pinocchio was terrifying to me.
As a six year old I could watch Halloween and not blink an eye but if Pinocchio came on I'd need someone else in the room with me or I'd be too afraid to watch.

The Child Catcher from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang used to terrify me as a kid, and he still gives me the creeps now. Also, The Riddler after he gets beaten by Batman used to really freak me out. And of course, Ivan Ooze from Mighty Morphin' Power Rangers: The Movie. I was also scared of Freddy Krueger, even though I've never even seen A Nightmare on Elm Street as an adult, let alone as a child. There was also a scene in Matilda that I could never get passed. It was the part where Matilda and Miss Honey are in Ms. Trunchbull's house trying to get out without being spotted, I used to get so anxious during that scene that I had to turn it off every single time. I think I've only made it passed it once as an adult.

I was also scared of Freddy Krueger, even though I've never even seen A Nightmare on Elm Street as an adult, let alone as a child. Same. I had never even seen the movies, but I knew enough about Freddy to know that I didn't want to. And I mean, even the name Freddy Krueger alone is enough to strike fear into someone. And I remember being 11 or 12, and it was October so they were playing horror movies on every channel, and I was flipping channels after school one day and they happened to be showing A Nightmare on Elm Street, and it was the part where he gets pulled into the real world, but Nancy doesn't know that yet, so it was like an eerie quiet moment, and then Freddy jumped out and tackled her, and like feathers were flying everywhere and I was like because I thought he killed her, and then I quickly changed the channel. And now it's like my favorite horror movie because it's the one that used to scare me the most.
