It's one way to deal with a break-up - a lovesick Chinese woman who was dumped by her boyfriend spent an entire week in KFC eating chicken wings after the break up.
Heartbroken Tan Shen, 26, gorged on the tasty fried chicken for seven days in the aftermath of the dumping at a 24 hour outlet of the fast food giant.
At first she just stopped in for some comfort food on her way home, but one thing led to another and soon she had spent a week barely moving from the same spot because she "needed time to think."
The break-up hit her so hard, she called in sick to work so she wouldn't have to leave the fried chicken joint.
She said: "I was walking around feeling miserable and decided to stop off at the KFC at the train station. I hadn’t planned on staying there long, I just wanted some chicken wings.
"But once I got in there and started eating I decided I needed time to think."
The devastated woman claimed she could not return to her apartment as it reminded her of her ex and so opted to reside at the chicken shop for a bit longer.
She said: "I didn’t want to go back to my apartment because it was full of memories of him. So I stayed."
But a few days into her extended meal, employees at the branch began to worry about the girl.
One staff member Jiang Li Lung said: "We work in shifts here and the restaurant is open 24 hours a day, so we get a lot of people coming through.
"At first no one really noticed her. But after a few days I began thinking she looked really familiar.
"Then I realised we had been serving her for the past three days and that she hadn’t actually left.
"When we asked her if she was ok, she said she was and just needed time to think.
"And then asked for another box of chicken wings with extra large fries."
He said the woman wasn't bothering them so they didn't ask her to leave: "She was after all a paying customer, even if a bit of an odd one."
But the fried chicken left a sour aftertaste when local media turned up after hearing about her bizarre story.
So Shen decided to spread her wings and head home for some TLC: "I decided the best thing to do would be to leave the city and go back to my parents."
The unhappy singleton then made her way to the train station she had originally been travelling to when a spot of KFC took her fancy.
She told Yahoo News: "I had already told work I was off sick, so phoned them and said I was leaving.
"And I was getting sick of the taste of chicken so there was no point in staying there anymore."
