A husband who survived a crash after losing control of his van was killed by his wife when she drove to collect him from the scene of the accident.
The 54-year-old man had earlier crashed while driving in Carville, western France, reports the Ouest France website.
His 16-year-old daughter, who was alongside him, was able to walk free from the accident which occurred on a sharp bend on a country road.
But when the man's wife rushed to meet her family, she lost control of her car on the same bend causing it to roll and hit her husband.
He was killed instantly.
The 44-year-old wife and teenage daughter were taken to hospital.
