With Rise of the Tomb Raider being an Xbox One exclusive, I need to rethink which system I'm going to buy, since I was set on the PlayStation 4. Let's weigh the pros and cons of them both.  |

I honestly like both systems. Sony has sold more, but Xbox seems to be making more noise right now. Still trying to recover for their major fuck ups last year. When it comes down to graphics and system capability, they're both basically the same. People who claim one is better than the other are just being fanboys at this point.
My whole decision to go with the PS4 came down to, 1) Xbox pissed me the hell off last year by acting like major assholes, 2) It was the cheaper system, and 3) Everyone I knew was getting it too.
Exclusives weren't a big deal to me, cause aside from a few start up games, they didn't really have any on either system. All the major franchises have become multi-platform. But now this Tomb Raider news threw a wrench in all of that. It's a big enough blow to Playstation to make me lean more towards the Xbox Won One.
But Xbox is still more expensive, unless you don't want the Kinnect. But if you don't get the Kinnect, you miss out on most of the features the Xbox One has to offer. But I don't even have a Kinnect friendly room.
My whole mindset right now, is which system has more people I know on it, that can play games online with me. Tomb Raider is still over a year a way, and a lot can happen in that amount of time. I might just have both systems by then. The game could be pushed back. This might just be a timed exclusive where it comes out on PS4 later.
Basically, I have nothing helpful to contribute to this debate cause I'm on the fence too. I have my brother trying to get me to buy an Xbox, and my best friend trying to get me to buy a PS4.
I'm just gonna get a Wii U and sit this generation out.

I'm sure I'd never use it even if I had it, so the fact that you can buy the standard Xbox One without it for the same price as the PS4 just makes my decision even harder. Which games are exclusive to each system? ( I'm aware I could use Google, but I don't feel like it.  ) Tomb Raider is still over a year a way, and a lot can happen in that amount of time. I've barely played my PS4 yet tbh. The games I really want don't come out until winter.
The main pro and con I have for the PS4 are things that I guess would apply to the XBox too. The graphics are amazing and you have to pay to play online (I know XBox has always had that but I was surprised that Sony started it too).
For non-game related stuff, there are more pros and cons, if you're even interested in that. The good is that the web browser for the PS4 is way better than the PS3 one so YouTube videos and other online stuff play no problem now. The bad, for me anyway, is that there isn't a proper music library yet for you to store your songs, like the PS3 had. It pisses me off because I used to listen to music on my PS3 all the time.
