Tiffany suspended

WWE Diva, Tiffany was suspended by the company following an alleged altercation in a hotel where WWE had booked the wrestlers for this past Tuesday’s SmackDown taping, reports PWInsider.
Mike Johnson of PWInsider reports that there was an incident between Tiffany and real life husband, Drew McIntyre, that resulted in police being called to the scene. Tiffany — real name Taryn Terrell — may or may not have been arrested. “We have conflicting reports over whether Terrell was arrested by the San Jose PD,” writes Johnson.
Terrell was sent home after the incident.
There was some speculation that Terrell was due to compete this Sunday at SummerSlam in a Divas tag team match, though the match has yet to be made official by WWE.

Yeah…don’t know what to think of this yet. Hopefully more details will emerge soon.

I think this might be the first time a diva has ever been suspended, especially for behavioural issues? Other than Randy Orton.

I like how it was her and not Drew who is rumoured to have gotten arrested after this “altercation.” Tiffany is clearly not to be fucked with.

Tiffany, real name Taryn Terrell, was arrested at 8AM on Sunday August 8 at a hotel in West LA. She was charged with a misdemeanor (believed to be assault although that is not confirmed) against her husband Drew McIntyre.

First security, then police were called to a hotel following a domestic disturbance between the two. Terrell was taken into custody and booked into Van Nuys Valley Jail at 10:26 AM. Bail was set at $20,000 and Terrell was released at 4:55PM the same day. No charges were laid against McIntyre; in fact he was not even taken into custody.

Terrell is set to appear in court on September 2 at LA Municipal Court, Division 141. She has been "suspended indefinitely," though there is a belief that she will be released over this. In the past people have been released for incidents in hotels during WrestleMania week, so SummerSlam week may well be the same.

If there’s one positive to be taken from this, it’s that at least now we won’t have to suffer through another interminable Michelle McCool PPV match on Sunday, if the rumors are true and LayCool v Kelly/Tiffany was going to be added to the show. Would suck for Kelly to miss out on that payday because of her psycho tag partner though.

I guess it depends on what she did really. I doubt they'll release her, though if they do it just goes to show that I just shouldn't choose favorites anymore because they always get released. No kidding, happened with Ashley, Maria, Katie Lea, and Mickie.

Even if she gets off with just a minor misdemeanor, I’d still expect her to be let go. It seems like the Cena/Orton level people are pretty much the only ones who could survive something like that. They probably look at all the divas, save for two or three of their favorites, as dispensable, like on the level of the male jobbers.

McIntyre was not taken into custody or charged.

Terrell is scheduled for a hearing on 9/2 at the Los Angeles Municipal Court, Division 141. WWE immediately sent Terrell home once they were made aware of the situation.

The earlier date and location of her arrest were incorrect and I apologize for the error. The confusion in the dates seemed to come from Terrell not being at TV in San Jose this past Tuesday.

There is a lot of talk among WWE performers that Terrell may end up released as she was in town representing the company as part of Summerslam week and performers have been let go in the past when there were incidents at hotels during Wrestlemania week.

As of right now, the official stance is that Terrell is "indefinitely suspended."
