Of the movies in contention for the big awards tonight I’ve seen four of them which I think is a record. Usually I'm lucky if I've seen any by the time of the Oscars. I liked all of them all but I’d rank them as follows:

1. The Wolf of Wall Street
2. Gravity
3. Captain Phillips
4. American Hustle

12 Years a Slave is the only one I still haven’t seen but want to.

My hopes for the big awards tonight:

Best Picture – The Wolf of Wall Street
Best Actor – Leonardo DiCaprio, The Wolf of Wall Street
Best Actress – Amy Adams, American Hustle
Best Supporting Actor – Barkhad Abdi, Captain Phillips
Best Supporting Actress – Jennifer Lawrence, American Hustle
Best Director – Alfonso Cuaron, Gravity (I liked WoWS a little more but this guy made me like a movie starring Sandra Bullock and George Clooney so he must have done something special)

Oh, and I know it's a little late but since I finally seen them both fairly recently I'm surprised that Argo beat Zero Dark Thirty to Best Picture last year. Argo was okay but ZDT was great.
