Apocalypse tidbits from SDCC: Hugh Jackman suggested that Wolverine III will be an Old Man Logan story and that his role in Apocalypse is reduced ( like Halle's in DoFP). Apocalypse's face looks exactly like the comic. Storm is full on 80's with leather clothes and a mohawk. The clip was pre-special effects but showed Apocalypse being able to control all of the X-Men, including Xavier. Magneto and Xavier aren't allies for at least part of the movie, as he sends Charles flying into Cerebro with his powers. Jean sees "the future" and the world is destroyed like a nuclear war has happened. Jennifer Lawrence is in the clip as herself/Raven, not in Mystique bodysuit/makeup. From the trailer, the four horsemen appear to be Angel, Storm, Magneto and Psylocke. And here's a pic of Storm and Apocalypse from the clip:

Did Hugh say "Nice to meet you." to Lana Condor? I hope that says more about Wolverine's screen time than Jubilee's.

Sophie Turner's accent, though. I just watched that part. Is she supposed to be American? It sounded so strange.

Sophie Turner's accent, though. I'm hoping it only sounds that bad in that one scene, like Fassbender's Irish accent slipping through in that one scene at the end of First Class. Because if not, god help us all having to listen to that.

Why is Mystique not in her true form when they're in Cerebro and what appears to be the X-Jet? This movie gonna make me resent Jennifer Lawrence forever.

- Channing Tatum has reportedly dropped out of 20th Century Fox's X-Men spinoffThere's a major shakeup today on 20th Century Fox's side of the Marvel Universe as The Wrap is reporting that Channing Tatum has exited the upcoming X-Men spinoff, Gambit. The film was planned to go before cameras in October, although Tatum's exit now leaves the film's future uncertain.
It was recently announced that Gambit would be directed by Rise of the Planet of the Apes helmer Rupert Wyatt with casting reports coming in as recently as yesterday. Today's update claims Tatum had been involved with screentests for the fim's female lead with Blue is the Warmest Color and SPECTRE's Lea Seydoux among the actresses reading for the part.
With a screenplay by Josh Zetumer (RoboCop), Gambit was to be produced by Tatum and his creative partner Reid Carolin, along with X-Men franchise stewards Simon Kinberg and Lauren Shuler Donner. It is unclear at this stage whether or not Tatum will remain on board the film as a producer, should Gambit move forward.
Currently, Gambit is scheduled for release October 7, 2016, planned to follow X-Men spinoffs Deadpool on February 15 and X-Men: Apocalypse on May 27.
