'Jurassic World' Sequel Gets a Release Date
You had to see this one coming: A sequel to "Jurassic World," now the third highest-grossing film of all time, is official and has a release date: June 22, 2018, as reported by THR.
Chris Pratt and Bryce Dallas Howard are both scheduled to return, with Colin Trevorrow and Derek Connolly writing the script. THR states that Trevorrow "is not expected to return to direct," but he will serve as an executive producer alongside Steven Spielberg, who directed the first two entries in the "Jurassic Park" franchise.
Released last month, "Jurassic World" has earned more than $1.522 billion in worldwide box office, good for third on the all-time list, behind "Avatar" and "Titanic," No. 1 and No. 2 respectively.
