Meet The Well-Muscled Cast Of 'The Asian Jersey Shore'
Filming has begun on K-town, a Tyrese-produced reality ripoff of Jersey Shore—featuring Asian-Americans instead of guidos—set in L.A.'s Koreatown. Peter Le is already being described as "the Korean Situation." Meet the rest of the cast after the jump.
Le [pictured above] looks to be an upgrade from Sitch, but not in just abs alone—apparently he's a pornstar (whereas Sitch was merely an exotic dancer).
Back in April, Tyrese's production company posted a casting notice on Craigslist:
Looking for interesting, attractive, colorful Asian-Americans to cast in a reality show similar to 'Jersey Shore'...We need attractive Asian-Americans with lively, strong and unique personalities between the ages of 18 to 30 with equally interesting life stories and perspectives to share, especially individuals who know about and/or experienced the Koreatown life. If you are not Asian but are obsessed with Asian culture or people in some way, email us and please explain.
And this is what they came up with:
From the pictures posted on K-town's Twitter, it looks like the show is sticking very closely to the formula established by Jersey Shore: Eight roommates, lots of muscles, lots of booze...
...and family-style ethnic meals.
The show has yet to be picked up by any network. Fingers crossed.
