I don't know why this is happening. I swear, at this rate, in 5 years they're going to try and remake I Love Lucy.

But NBC is rebooting The Munsters, with Jerry O'Fucking-Connell as Herman Munster, who isn't going t be Frankenstein's Monster, just a zombie.



Meanwhile, Portia de Rossi, aka Ellen's wife, will be playing his wife Lily.



Other cast members so far are Charity Wakefield as Marilyn



and Mason Cook as Eddie (CM Punk was robbed tbh)



and last but not least, Eddie Izzard has been cast as Grandpa Munster



The sad thing, this is his actual Grandpa Munster look sent from production of the Pilot:

Yeeeah.

I give the show a few months. People will tune in cause it's the Munsters but not enough will stay, and NBC is cancel happy, so it won't last.

In other news, Beth Grant, aka the bitch from every movie and tv show ever, has been cast as snoopy neighbor #1

I love The Munsters, but I wasn't at all opposed to the reboot when I first read about it. They made it sound like they were going for a more horror approach and less comedy. That could have worked, actually. That sounds like a mess, but I do love Eddie Izzard.

Ok, watching this right now. The whole thing is horribly miscast, although having said that, I do like Charity Wakefield as Marilyn.

I really like what they've done with 1313 Mockingbird Lane too.

I'm not sure of it yet. It could still go terribly wrong, but I actually liked the first episode. I really do love Eddie Izzard as Grandpa and the kid was great. Marilyn was spot on. I like that it is really different and not attempting to copy the first too much. Lily and Herman are the least interesting parts of the show so far. I really could do without both.

Agreed, I really grew to like it by the end. I wouldn't be opposed to a full series tbh.

Herman definitely needs to be recast though.
