One World Trade Center Construction Passes ESB

Yesterday the One World Trade Center construction in New York passed the Empire State Building making it the tallest building in New York City.




That building is gonna look so badass when it's done.





Side note though; maybe having a plane in the picture wasn't the best idea. It's a little eerie.

When I was there in 2008 work had barely started and it was still basically a huge hole in the ground.

Even in this day and age it still kinda amazes that we’re able to build buildings as impressive as this.

I'm not that impressed with the steel and glass buildings. Modern big building architecture is fairly dull. It lacks the aesthetically appealing detail work that they used to put in the stone. This one is slightly better than most of the square buildings that makeup large cities.
