Is gonna be awesome. Or at least, it better be.
This shit has been delayed more often than a Dr. Dre album though. Hopefully it is actually out next year.

Like certain actresses, Twisted Metal just can't seem to find success outside of the 90's. I would love to get behind the wheel of another kick ass Twisted Metal though. I just hope there's some cool characters in this one. I feel like they've tried too hard to be 'dark' in some of the newer ones. Bring back Spectre!

Spectre was awesome and my usual choice out of the regular playable characters. Sweet Tooth and Minion were my overall favorites though. I actually liked pretty much all of the characters…apart from slow ass Warthog.
Yeah, they need to make it more fun again. Part 2 with better graphics and some slight changes would be enough for me.

If you just can't wait to cram your Twisted Metal guy between two gigantic tires and send him barreling into the streets like it was 1996, well, you've probably already pre-ordered the upcoming sequel. Good news, then, as producer Chad Cox has announced on PlayStation Blog that pre-orders for the new Twisted Metal -- from "any participating retailer" -- will include "early access" to the iconic Axel character and, more specifically, his two-wheeled contraption, which are ordinarily locked at the start of the game. During a recent preview event for the game, we learned that characters and vehicles will be interchangeable (as seen in the screenshot above, featuring Sweet Tooth in place of Axel). It's a brave new Twisted Metal, people! Don't be shy, now -- check it out in the extended cut of the new trailer after the break.
Oh my God. October 4 is the release date. I. Cannot. Wait.

The poor old man. That is one of the most fucked up things I've ever seen lol. I'm already pegging Mutant Couch to play him in the inevitable Twisted Metal (2011) casting.

Twisted Metal 2 was probably the greatest multi-player game ever. Now with PSN and the possibility of having like a dozen people battling at the same time this should be awesome too. I hope there’s a team deathmatch feature. We’ll kill all them bitches. Bonnie and Clyde on their ass.

The PlayStation 3 exclusive Twisted Metal has been delayed to 2012 according to the game's director, David Jaffe.
Twisted Metal was originally supposed to ship on October 4, 2011 but according to a post by Jaffe on the PlayStation Blog, the developers at Eat Sleep Play are "just not ready yet."
"It sucks bad when games miss their announced launch dates," said Jaffe. "We’re gamers too and we know how annoying it is. It’s disappointing and frustrating and it really takes the wind out of your sails if you’re a fan that has been looking forward to playing a title for a long time."
Jaffe affirms that the Twisted Metal game that ships will be the best Twisted Metal ever made, and they only want to ship the best product.
Booooooooooo!!!!!

New trailer featuring Mr. Grimm:
Bad. Ass.
And hopefully that Valentine's Day release date sticks. I'm tired of waiting.
