All the way from Bangkok, Thailand...WELCOME to the biannual Beautiful Persons Women of Wrestling Awards, Winter 2012 edition! The initial event, hosted early last Summer in Helsinki, hit the headlines of papers and blogs worldwide and will go down as a landmark in BP forum history, and this January we hope to replicate that. ELEVEN members have voted, two more than last year. FORTY-SEVEN women have received votes, also up from last year's number. Who will miss out? Who will surprise? Who will underwhelm? Who will crack the top ten? Who will become the People's Choice of Winter 2011? Keep tuning in to find out! Up Next: The Forgotten Few...

When I agreed to take part in this I wasn't told anything about no ceremony in Bangkok.
I need to start reading the fine print.

Last year's 31st place finisher, TNA's ring announcer Christy Hemme! Christy has certainly come into her own in her current position, and despite not placing here, she definitely does have some support on this forum. Second Generation Diva and Fijian Princess Tamina! Perhaps not quite as successful as she was earlier in the year, Tamina appears frequently on NXT as the girlfriend of JTG. Following her beat-down of Natalya last week things could be looking up for her in 2012. Who knows...she might even place on the list next time! Inactive wrestling-wise for the last few years, the returning Lilian Garcia also fails to gain votes. Lilian discussed Raw on Afterbuzz TV for months before surprisingly regaining her spot as WWE ring announcer, this time for the SmackDown brand. Tough Enough Alumnus Caylee Turner comes next. The last standing woman on the reality show and sister of WWE Diva Alicia Fox (who has indeed placed this year!), Caylee remains in developmental at this point. TNA's Toxxin doesn't make it. A rare openly gay female in mainstream wrestling, so props to Toxxin for that! Past mistakes rectified, here is the Summer's joint 34th placer Eve Torres! Loyal TNA employee SoCal Val hasn't quite made the cut either. Better luck next time, Val! Likewise for Raquel Diaz, daughter of Eddie and Vickie Guerrero. Diaz has been keeping the Guerrero flame alight in wrestling over the course of the last few months, recently capturing the FCW Diva's Championship and also becoming Queen of FCW! Karen's assistant (pre-firing), it's the original Knockout Traci Brooks! Audrey Marie, Texas' offering to FCW, is next! Audrey also captured the FCW Diva's Championship in 2011. Former WWE veteren, Tara is now a veteran in the TNA Knockout's Division. Tara teams with protégée Brooke Tessmacher on iMPACT!. Unfortunately for her this is the second time the former Women's and Knockout's Champion has failed to make the list. Closing the pack is Teddy Long's love interest on SmackDown, Aksana. Despite success earlier in the year in FCW and a promotion to the SmackDown roster, Aksana has arguably become stagnant at this point. This is perhaps reflected in her non-placement, as Aksana placed at an impressive number twelve in the Summer. Let's hope she regains momentum in 2012.

#45 --- O.D.B. (TNA) --- 10 PointsO.D.B. is our first entrant, placing at the bottom of the list but nevertheless doing better than she did the previous time. The latter half of 2011 saw the buxom beauty team briefly with Jacqueline Moore in a feud with Velvet Sky, and most recently form a tag team with TNA male Eric Young. O.D.B. received one tenth place vote.

(I made a mistake btw) #43 --- Sarita (TNA) & Cheerleader Melissa (Independent) --- 20 PointsOur first of many ties. Sarita bounces onto the list after failing to qualify last time. Now I do like Sarita a lot; I just think she's so beautiful and talented, and I also love her attires. Whilst many may have expected a rise to the top of the division this year for the not-so-Mexican Mexican, Sarita has had a solid year nevertheless, holding the Knockout's Tag Team championship with Rosita and forming part of Mexican America. Cheerleader Melissa is someone I've always known of in spite of me not even watching independent wrestling, which I guess goes to show. A favourite among indie fans, Melissa is the current reigning SHIMMER Champion; the fourth in that company's history. This is interesting in that I believe Sarita and Melissa faced off in their first ever iMPACT! match, shocking fans with their skills. Correct me if I'm wrong, TNA-ers. The two women both received 9th Place votes.

#41 --- Ayako Hamada (Independent) & Amber O'Neal (Independent) --- 20 PointsI haven't seen much of Ayako Hamada aside from two or three matches from TNA, but she's clearly extremely gifted. I think that the fact that she has both Japanese and Mexican heritage is really cool (but maybe that's just me). This year saw Hamada compete for the SHIMMER Championship and winning the promotion's tag team championship in October, alongside Ayumi Kurihara. In addition, she partook in Chikara's Joshimania, squaring off with the likes of Aja Kong and Cheerleader Melissa. Amber O'Neal I don't know much about at all, but Wikipedia informs me that Molly Holly helped her with her WWE try-outs in 2004 and O'Neil changed her ring name from Amber Holly out of respect. That's pretty cool. I can't find much on what she's been up to this year, so if you know feel free to share. Both women both received 8th Place votes.

#37 --- Britani Knight (Independent), Jessicka Havok (Independent) & Allysin Kay (Independent) --- 40 PointsNot to be disrespectful or anything, but if I actually want to get this finished then I'm going to have to power through the people who I don't know, rather than scanning their Wikipedia pages for the little tidbits of info. Again, feel free to share their accolades and merits with us independently IGNORANT posters. Well done anyway girls! Brit got a 7th Place vote, as did Jess. Allysin Kay is the first woman on the list to score multiple votes, gaining on 10th Placer and one 8th Placer.

This is what Amber O'Neal has done lately. She co-hosts Three Way with Fire & Ice a radio show Angel Orsini, wrestled a few matches for Big Time Wrestling and had a match against Mickie James for her promotion Arenachicks last month.

#37 --- Beth Phoenix (WWE) --- 40 PointsA bit of a tumble for the Glamazon, who falls from number fifteen to number thirty-seven. Beth is tied with the previous three women by the way. Despite being more active this year than she was in 2010, Beth's performance was arguably less impressive regardless. Leading the Pin Up Strong Movement and capturing her first Diva's Championship from Kelly Kelly, things just unfortunately haven't been well handled, and it's all gotten boring in my opinion (and in the opinions of others, I know). Personally I feel she makes a much stronger babyface. Beth is certainly talented and beautiful though, and she DID win a title and is at the top of the division, so good for her, and congrats on her placement. Beth got a sole 7th place vote that arrived near the end of the counting, meaning that she narrowly escaped non-placement.

Ms. Chif got an impressive 4th place vote, whilst Jennifer Blake got a 9th placer and a 6th placer.
