Or maybe they wanted TBP at the heart of things, and with Lacey being one member and Velvet barely being able to wrestle they realised Madison was the best option there? Then of course she took the ball and ran with it and all was good. And can we clarify that the 'ho bag' is for girls Kharma didn't get along with, rather than specifically girls she considers promiscuous? All she says about Madison in it is 'it is what it is'. Was it? While Madison herself is not to blame, the product has seriously declined under Hogan/Bischoff and the Knockouts have been fairly reflective of that. They went from growing or at least attempting to grow a product largely of it's own image featuring unique characters to taking what the WWE has pre-created for them. These are the same people who thought Abyss was the next mega thing. One hasn't done much well since the 90s. The other has pretty much done nothing creatively speaking and doesn't even care about the fed. Besides who was in control and decided to feature Lacey? Much of the same crew that thought Rosie Lottalove was some kind of substitute for Kong. The same ones who cheaped out on Hamada. The same ones who failed to pull the trigger with Alissa. The same ones who oversaw the decline of the tag division. TNA's leadership is a mix of markish, clueless, and corrupt. That has been obvious for a very long time.

I'm not saying all was good with the company on the whole, I'm saying it was a good decision to push Maddie in the end because she turned out to be a great heel. It might have been a stab in the dark on their part but it worked and she blossomed.
And I think Lacey seems like a swell girl but she was never going to be the one to get the main belt out of the three.

Pushing Madison wasn't the problem. I'm not against her ever having been KO's Champion or anything of that nature. It's how they went about it. Taking someone who is practically winless straight to the top tends to be a low percentage play that results in the title looking bad. There was a time when the Ko's belt and it's related feuds were about as big as anything in TNA. Gimmick booking of various kinds and lack of building are things that can chip away at that image.
As for Lacey, I can only long for what could have been. We were only about a couple of years removed from the possibilty of a LVE/Brooke Hogan tag team. The Legion of Doom's place as wrestling's premiere tag unit would surely have been under threat then. If only.........sigh

But what about all of the hot potato reigns between Tara and ODB, or Angelina Love winning it out of a plastic cooler? The title itself consists of dull gold paint and cracked leather. I'm in no way Madison Rayne's biggest supporter, but that championship had it's problems long before she came along.
Also I don't really think it's fair to say that Madison received her push because she was a "ho." Madison was the obvious choice to be the title holder during the Beautiful People's push. If we're going to keep it one hundred in regards to Lacey's skills, let's not turn a blind eye to Velvet's either.

I mean, Velvet isn't a wonder in the ring, but Lacey didn't even look like she had training at times.

Lacey didn't even look like she had training at times. Whelp. At least her outfits matched, which is what matters to me.

Read that this whole AJ thing is a story arc for the extended episodes of Total Divas and the season is gonna end with one of them (probably Nattie) in a Night of Champions title match

Cameron has been the victim of yet another merciless shade attack by Brodus Clay. When asked about the scene where he made Cameron cry in the premiere episode of Total Divas, Clay said: "I think he [Vincent] was doing that display for the cameras. Up until that day, I had never seen Cameron cry a day in her life. She's always been a tough, very confident, very outspoken woman. Some would say she could even be a bit bullying at times... Vincent's thing, I think, was more for the cameras because I saw him at the end of the night, and he definitely wasn't yelling and screaming at me."Brodus also revealed the source of the friction: Cameron's behavior towards Tensai. "When he [Sweet T] says something, you should probably respect it, and that wasn't done. I said something to her about it, and she said something to me about it, and I said 'I'm not dealing with it' and I walked away. And I guess she looked at it as an opportunity, I'm not really sure."What Brodus and maybe even Sweet T are failing to realize is the Funkadactyls are really the only reason they're where they are. The minute WWE drops the girls from their stable and they come out dancing by themselves do they really think they're going to get any bit of a reaction? So with that said, maybe Cameron should be calling the shots and Brodus should sit in every seat in the next arena Raw is broadcast from.

That Cameron/Brodus fight is one of the only Total Divas stories that I bought as being 100% real, simply because they didn't show any footage of it. If the bust-up was planned they would have had cameras all over that.
Poor Cameron. Does ANYONE in the locker room like her, outside of Naomi?

That Cameron/Brodus fight is one of the only Total Divas stories that I bought as being 100% real, simply because they didn't show any footage of it. He isn't saying nothing happened, just that it didn't happen the way she said. But for that to be the case, that would mean Cameron got her boyfriend, Naomi, Jon, Nattie, the Bellas and their mom to get in on the scene as well. I think Brodus is just throwing her under the bus to make himself look better. The Funkadactyls were the victims of another Brodus Clay shade attack a few weeks ago when he was asked why he doesn't appear on Total Divas and he said it's because they're not friends. I also think it's really irresponsible to suggest Cameron is a bully considering WWE's Be a Star campaign. What could she possibly do to make Brodus feel threatened? That's a very serious accusation and it really undermines the term. I hope he's fined for it.

I thought/hoped that Brodus irl was a happy-go-lucky dancing fat guy. Now I can't help but imagine him as a grumpy old man, sitting stoicly in the locker room reading the newspaper and side-eyeing everyone else for making too much noise.
