- There's a Power Rangers animated reboot in the works - and it's "really f**king dark"Adi Shankar, the producer behind Netflix's upcoming Castlevania series, is hoping to recreate the first three Power Rangers seasons in animated form.
"It's a complete retelling of the first three seasons," Shankar told Polygon. "And it's going to be really f**king dark. Darker than any other Power Rangers series."
He went on to explain that he'll be revamping the style of the original series, making it less self-contained in single episodes and more like a linear series.
He also wants to merge the Power Rangers series with aspects of DragonBall Z, so there'll be longer and extensive fight sequences.
It's not the first time Shankar's dabbled in the Rangers world - he caused controversy back in 2015 with Power/Rangers, a short film that was threatened with legal action from Power Rangers franchise owner Haim Saban.
Source This guy again.  Did he forget they made him pull his short film from the internet? And he thinks they're going to let him sell a series to Netflix and collect coins?

Some guy who was heavily armed got arrested at a comic convention Thursday after telling his friends that he was gonna kill a bunch of police officers working at the event. He was also planning to kill Jason David Frank. 😳
