After one of the most contentious SummerSlam main events in WWE history, Rey Mysterio challenges Alberto Del Rio for his Undisputed WWE Title in his hometown of San Diego. Tune into Raw tonight at 9/8 CT on USA Network. Del Rio vs. Mysterio facing each other for the 50th time (slight exaggeration) can be forgiven after the ending of SummerSlam. Excited to see where Cena and Punk go from here. I hope Burke's new Two-Man Power Trip storyline happens.

"After SummerSlam's controversial main event outcome, Triple H addresses the WWE Universe live tonight on Raw. Will he apologize for his bad call? Will he discuss Nash's involvement? Might the WWE COO reveal a coup that crowned Del Rio champion?"

CM Punk's text message was hilarious.
Kevin Nash was drunk.

Raw was bleh tonight
Triple H came out... and basically said nothing
Del Rio came out... and basically said nothing
Nash came out... and basically said nothing
Miz came out... and basically said nothing
Beth & Natalya came out... and actually said nothing
Dolph and Vickie's segment was pointless and weird
Jack Swagger should never be allowed to speak ever. It took him 3 minutes to say "you should be my manager"
And why is Cena mad at Del Rio exactly? Shouldn't he be mad at Punk and Triple H? Shouldn't Punk be mad at Del Rio? They really can't think of anything to do with Cena besides title storylines anymore can they? Cena shouldn't be champion again until after Wrestlemania. Give some other people a shot. Rock v Cena being for the championship would be stupid. It's already going to be the main event and it doesn't need a title on the line to give it more hype. I know Cena's ego and Vince's wallet probably want his never ending streak of Wrestlemania title matches to match Undertakers winning streak, but their should be an actual WWE title match on the card. Everyone already knows the Rock is going to lose anyway, we don't need a belt on the line to enforce that theory.
Getting over the negatives..
Yes, the Punk text message was hilarious.
Kelly Kelly is getting better by the day. If they keep this up, 5 years from now, people will throw her name in with Trish, Lita, Torrie, Sunny, Sable, ect. when talking about the greatest divas of all time.
I'm so happy that Nash, Stephanie, and John Lauranitis were all on Raw. It really does change the atmosphere to see old and new faces around. Especially in management roles. I was getting so tired of Vince, Teddy, and.....
Thank the good lord we never have to hear that sound again. Did anyone even notice he's been gone since Money in the Bank? More important... does anyone even care? The whole GM stuff in general just needs to die already. It's been going on for almost a decade. It's time to retire the General Manager position. Trips, Steph, Lauranitis (for a bit), and the grand return of Vince (you know it's coming) are more than enough authority to have around. Teddy can go back to managing, or a retirment home, or something.
Anywho I'm getting off track. Raw wasn't a bad show, but nothing really happened. If you missed it, you really didn't miss anything, which sucks because SummerSlam left so much open that this really should've been the best Raw of the year. It was a "meh" overall.

Jack Swagger should never be allowed to speak ever. It took him 3 minutes to say "you should be my manager" I know that segment was a tad too long, but I'm really hoping Vickie gets an entourage of talent like the managers of old. Thank the good lord we never have to hear that sound again. Did anyone even notice he's been gone since Money in the Bank? More important... does anyone even care? He's still there. He was there at SummerSlam and he was there on last night's RAW. He's just not being used at the minute.

He hasn't been used or mentioned in over a month. The podium will soon disappear.

Oh, I loved the team of Kofi & Bourne btw. I really dislike them as singles wrestlers, so I was kinda surprised to like them as a team.

Why do they insist on trying to involve Eve in everything diva related? She's like the new Michelle McCool. Ugh, after that segment/match last night I bet the next PPV will be a triple threat/fatal 4 way match now with her and Natalya added.
It should just be Kelly vs. Beth again at Night of Champions. It makes perfect sense after their match at SummerSlam and the fact that it's going to be in Beth's hometown. Adding anyone else just dilutes the whole thing and it won't get the same kind of reaction. It would be like if they added John Morrison to the Cena-Punk match at MITB.

I get why they have Eve in Kelly's corner as an equalizer to Natalya, but I don't get why it has to be Eve. With everything they've done with her, it's apparent this is just another effortless attempt to get her over. How is she the one who scores a win when Kelly is the champion? Eve's usage for the past couple of months would have been a perfect way to utilize Gail Kim. She and Kelly are noticeably on-screen friends to the people who pay attention to the Divas division, but they went with someone who's less talented and orange and botches at least one kick in every match she's in. I don't get it.
And yeah, sadly it isn't difficult at all for me to imagine them throwing Eve and Natalya into the mix for Night of Champions and even sadder is that I wouldn't put it past them to randomly put the title on Eve. It's not like they haven't done it before.

When they randomly added Eve to that match at the Royal Rumble and had her win the title that was one of the biggest smh moments I can ever remember in the diva division.
It was hilarious to see the reaction she got though.
"And the mystery opponent..."
*I hope it's the debut of Awesome Kong! Or Trish Stratus returning! Or Lita!*
"...Eve Torres."
*Silence*
Even Sign Guy, who usually always cheers the babyfaces no matter what, held up his hands right on camera and was like "wtf? Seriously? Eve?"
