Fresh off of an exhilarating overseas pay per view in London, Beautiful Persons returned to the good ole U.S. of A. for another exciting edition of NFA!
Kicking off our show, we saw the newly crowned Tag Team Champions,
Beauty & the Beast, defend their titles against
Douglas Williams and
Winter. Just when
World's Strongest Man appeared to be on cloud nine, his frenemy
Brandon's music hit. Stomping down the ramp with a purpose, Brandon was followed by her majesty,
Sable. Inside the ring, Sable went over the contract that WSM signed in order to tag with
Tiffany at Global Warfare. In his hurry to partner with his dream girl, WSM rushed over the fine print stating that should they win, he would relinquish his title to Brandon the minute he was cleared to return to action. Which was now. Holding his hands out expectantly, Brandon impatiently gestured for WSM to hand his title over. With his head held down in shame, WSM complied, before pitifully being ushered out of the ring by Sable.
Before Brandon and Tiffany could get carried away with celebrating, Sable took to the microphone again and advised them "Don't get used to taking the easy way out." because they will defend their titles at Over The Weight Limit against the winners of the tag team tournament she's implementing tonight! After rolling their eyes and making talking gestures with their hands behind the GM's back, Brandon and Tiffany clinked the faceplates of their titles together; a toast to being back in business.
Backstage,
Jessica was seen fixing herself a cup of coffee in the catering area when she was approached by none other than
D'Angelo Dinero. Before The Pope could get two words out of his mouth, Jessica raised her palm to his face, silencing him. "I'm not interested." she frankly stated before taking a swig of her coffee. Offended, Pope pointedly reminded her that "There's no business like ho business." Unable to control her reaction, Jessica spit the piping hot liquid all over Pope's chest in response to his proposition, scalding him in the process. After Pope bit out an expletive that we wont repeat here at BeautifulPersons.com, Jessica coolly reminded him that she's with Edge, before turning around and leaving D'Angelo and his second degree burns behind.
Elsewhere backstage,
The Beautiful People were having their glitter eye shadow applied when their me time was rudely interrupted by the impatiently dramatic sound of someone's throat clearing. In the mirror,
Maryse stood behind them with the Women's Championship hoisted on her shoulder.
Melina at her side, arms crossed, tapping her foot against the floor. "I believe you're in my seat." Maryse stated. "Yeah, don't you think you have enough make up on?" Melina added. After an approving glance from her partner,
Velvet Sky rose from her chair. "Don't you think you could use some more?" With that, Velvet pumped a cloud of baby powder into Melina's face, gaping the A-Lister's mouth in shock. Rearing her hand back for a slap, Melina's attack was blocked by Velvet, who pulled her onto the ground and began choking the Latina with both hands. Just as Maryse attempted to dig her French manicure into Velvet's scalp,
Angelina Love came to her BFF's defense and pushed the champion onto the ground, laying into her with right fists. Before the four ladies could tear each other apart,
Molly Holly and
Kaitlyn stepped in to separate the foursome, all while the rest of the Divas encouraged them to fight.
Back in the arena, it was Lady Liberty vs. The Queen of England when
Kelly Kelly took on her former friend and long time rival,
Layla. Taking control of the match early on, Layla worked Kelly over until the human smiley face was roused to her feet by the live audience, where she managed to fight her way back into the contest with a flurry of clotheslines, tilt-a-whirl headscissors, and ass slaps, before finally finishing Layla off with the K2. This just isn't Continental Coalition's night.
With the tag team tournament on the horizon,
Tiarnán had only one person in mind to team with. After nervously rapping his knuckles against the door in front of him and straightening his posture, the seemingly forever irate
Randy Orton swung the door open and stepped into the hall, face to face with Tiarnán. "What do you want?" Orton asked through strained eyes. "Hi Randy." Tiarnán beamed, unfazed. Randy's eyes remained locked on Tiarnán's face for a moment, unnerved by his smile. After explaining how he had been unable to get their match at Global Warfare out of his head, and how Randy pushed him beyond the limits of anything he had ever experienced, both physically and mentally, Tiarnán suggested that they chase tag team gold together. Stroking his chin with uncertainty, Randy shrugged. "Sure kid, I'll team with you." The Viper gave in. Who better to win gold with than the current European Champion? "Oh, thankyouthankyouthankyou!" Tiarnán popped, wrapping his arms around Randy's neck. "I'm not gonna let you down, Randy. I promise!" Tiarnán vowed, once again with that unsettling smile that sent chills down Orton's spine. "Those sluts are going down." Tiarnán declared in a 180 of emotions, his eyes narrowing as he thought of Brandon and Tiffany. "Eek!" he squealed, snapping out of his silent rage and back into a place of happiness. "I've got to go tell everyone I know. I'm teaming with
the Randy Orton!" Tiarnán sang before running down the hall with a skip in his step. Letting out a sigh of exhaustion, Randy leaned against the door frame. What had he gotten himself into?
On his way to meet up with his tag team partner,
John Cena was blindsided in the parking lot by the man who left Global Warfare with his title,
Tarry, and his confidant
Wade Barrett. John Cena tried to fight back with all of his might, but the two on one onslaught proved to be too much for even him. With Cena lying prone on the floor, Wade Barrett raised his left leg in the air for Tarry's attack. Taking a step back, Tarry measured his shot before stepping forward and delivering a stiff side kick to Cena's thigh, causing the former-champion to groan in agony and clutch his knee. "Good luck in your match tonight, Cena. Those titles are coming home with Continental Coalition." Tarry stated, before signaling to Barrett that their work was done. After a brief commercial break, we returned to find Cena being tended to by a handful of officials, his tag team partner
Burke, and
Sable. Unfortunately for "The Champ", he was diagnosed with a dislocated knee (We here at BeautifulPersons.com wish him a speedy recovery.
), and deemed unable to compete by the General Manager. Just as Sable was about to cancel tonight's main event, Burke reminded her that he and John Cena "Do not quit." and that he will take on the team of London Brawling single handedly if he has to.
Back in the ring after a whirlwind of backstage dramz, we were treated to some good old fashioned wrestling in a back and forth match that saw the nimble
Justin Gabriel take on the equally agile
Jason. After an impressive bout of chain wrestling, Jason managed to catch his opponent off guard and surprise him with the Sunset Kick, putting him down for the three count. After having his hand raised by the official, Jason helped Justin to his feet and extended his hand to him. Gabriel was reluctant at first, feeling bitter about being outwrestled, but gave it up to Jason in the end and shook his hand. Going one further, Justin raised Jason's hand into the air for himself in an impressive display of showmanship, eliciting a standing ovation from the live audience.
In the back, the recently absent
Jayzero was strutting down the hall like Don Juan and chewing on a tooth pick. Who he think he is, Scott Hall? Pausing in front of the door labeled GENERAL MANAGER, Jayzero glanced over his shoulder and waved the camera off before knocking softly against the wooden frame. Without an answer, Jayzero pushed the door open to find
Sable laying across her mahogany desk, seemingly expecting his arrival. Before the cameras could push inside for further inspection, Jayzero shut the door on our faces. What's that all about?
Anywho, our main event saw the team of
Magnus and
Desmond Wolfe take on
Burke in what would have been a tag team tournament qualifying match, but was now simply a handicap match. Things kicked off immediately when Burke sprinted down the ramp and took the two men down with a flurry of fists and Five Knuckle Shuffles. Just when it seemed like John Cena's understudy may be able to channel the strength of the Chain Gang and overcome the odds like his hero,
Tarry ran into the ring unbeknownst to the official, who was tied up with Wolfe, and clocked Burke with the World Championship, before pulling Magnus on top of him and sliding out of the ring. With the referee unaware of Tarry's interference, he made the three count and raised London Brawling's arms in victory, all while Tarry admired his handiwork from the outside.
Clearly willing to use any means necessary to keep Continental Coalition at the top of the heap, one has to wonder how far Tarry will go to hold on to the World Championship. Speaking of championships, who will advance in the General Manager's tag team tournament and what will the devious duo of Brandon and Tiffany have to say about it? Can Randy Orton and Tiarnán gel as a cohesive unit? Will Burke find a way to quit John Cena? Just what were Sable and Jayzero doing in there? Tune in next week to find out!
