According to a reliable WWE source, there is backstage heat on the celebrity-involvement of Snooki in the tag team match at Wrestlemania, and the heat is not directed solely at the Jersey Shore star.

“We bust our asses 250 days a year on the road,” one prominent RAW-brand superstar claimed, “Snooki will cut right into everyone’s Wrestlemania paydays. And the whole show is built around Rock, who is not full time; Austin, from another era, too; Michael Cole, who doesn’t go on the road; Lawler, who doesn’t go on the road; Snooki, who is a three-shot appearance; and Michelle McCool, who is Undertaker’s wife and therefore doesn’t even go on the road with Layla El, who has to represent LayCool all by herself while her partner gets preferential treatment because of the person she married!”

No superstar we spoke with seems to mind Undertaker or Triple H getting top billing this Sunday since everybody acknowledges they’ve earned their rightful spots. However, many are unhappy with the preferential treatment McCool is afforded as well as the names previously mentioned collecting major paychecks for this year’s biggest show, and not helping the company “on a daily basis."

I honestly have no problem with HHH, Taker & Rock coming straight back from time off and walking into main event roles. For me, they've earned that privilege.

In 10 years time when Cena & Miz are 40 years old and broken down they'll probably be doing the same thing. The work they are doing today (especially those two, who work harder than anyone) justifies that though imo.

I generally don't care when legends come back either. I hate the Hogan's, Flair's, Foley's, Bret Hart's etc of the wrestling world. I'll always go to bat for HHH though.

Oh, and I have no problem with Trish coming back for WM either, obviously. Although I’m shocked at how little I care about her match. If you told me 6 months ago that Trish Stratus was returning for a WM match I would probably have been looking forward to that more than anything. But I’m not. She’ll probably be in the ring for about 45 seconds.

I sadly dgaf about Trish's angle either. I wish she would have stayed blonde and in the 00's, where my memories of her were relevant. The last thing I ever wanted to see was her in a feud with Michelle McCool.

I don't think Melina likes The Undertaker much, and she's ridiculously against internet news sites, so I doubt it's her. I suspect Chavo.

I feel like if Trish really cared about the Divas division, she would probably step aside and allow other girls to shine. She's had enough Wrestlemania matches. Yeah, we've had crappy Divas Wrestlemania matches over the past few years, but Snooki and Trish's ass butting in doesn't really help matters. Also, I don't really get the point of training even more women in Tough Enough when there are signed Divas sitting on the sidelines. I just don't think it's fair that someone like Kelly Kelly has to be the product of continuous missed opportunities.

And it was only a few short months ago that I really thought Kelly was going to have a high profile role at WM. After the whole firing thing and main eventing SD a couple times I thought for sure it was leading to something at WM with Vickie, Drew, Ziggler, and whoever else.

Trish is cool, and I like the new hair, but I'm iffy about her and Snookie teaming and flirting with John Morrison. That's not cool.

And anyway, the involvement of LayCool and GPS negates any of the positives that match has.

At the risk of sounding butthurt on Kelly's behalf, the whole Snooki situation is pretty bogus. They had this great high profile storyline going with her which she was excelling in, and now that its time for WrestleMania and they could cash in on that by giving her a big payoff and making a bona fide star out of this girl, they pass on her and give away her opportunity... to Snooki. Which will mean shit by the next night on RAW btw. Its just lame someone the fans actually want to see continues to wait in the wings while Trish, LayCool and Snooki get the spotlight they don't really need, and haven't really earned leading up to WrestleMania.
