I liked The Miz for a tiny bit back when he first started wearing trunks.

I liked him when he was trashing John Morrison. And for the record, even though I'm not the biggest Miz fan, I was one of the few people who even from the very start thought that he would become a bigger star than Morrison. Simply because he can talk for more than 10 seconds without me wishing death upon him or changing the channel. Morrison has been kind enough to fill the void left by Matt Hardy's release. I really can't stand him.

It's cool that you dislike the guy, but ew, comparing him to Matt Hardy? That's not on.

It's really not that harsh. They even look alike these days.

I swear THQ slightly changed Matt Hardy's left over character model on All Stars to make JoMo.

They don't look anything alike. JoMo is actually attractive when he doesn't speak. Matt Hardy has the face of a hippo.

Matt Hardy has the face of a hippo. Hmm, I'd say he's more of a vampire bat imo.

He's definitely some kind of rodent. That much we can all agree on.

But Cena and Orton? In 5 years I picture them still being the two biggest stars in the company tbh. You're probably correct here but I admit to kind of hoping you aren't. Or at least that a couple of others are on their level by then. If wrestling is going to get over the funk it's been in, one step is doing a good job of pushing new people up the card. Especially given that Batista, Michaels, Rey, Edge, 'Taker, and Trips are all either gone or going. They have a lot of spaces to replace from an era that already was witnessing a decline in the product in popularity terms. I'm hoping Cody, Miz, and Del Rio go over this sunday. And that over the next year or so the WWE gives credible pushes for people like Ziggler, Kingston, Barrett, Swagger, and/or Morrison. Add the survivors from that pool who can cut it at the top level to Cena, Orton, and probably Punk and they should have a fresher and deeper product that is better positioned for the future. For what it's worth, add me to the Rock and Trish among my all time top 10 list too. Though I'm disappointed with how Trish is involved in this 'Mania.

Cena and Orton are pretty much the same age as the Miz’s and Morrison’s and the others you mentioned as being the “future.” Age has nothing to do with it. Batista was 36 when he first won the championship, and Brock Lesner was 26 when he left the business. Age is just a number in wrestling. HBK, Taker, and Ric Flair are proof of that. Cena and Orton? In 5 years I picture them still being the two biggest stars in the company tbh. The same could have been said for Lesner is 2003, or the Rock in 2000. Look what happened there.

I’m not sure what point you’re trying to make here. Are you under the assumption that I’m against them pushing new people? Because that’s not the case at all. I’m not even a Miz fan and I applauded his title win and called for him to main event WM. Alberto Del Rio is one of my current favourites. I would love to see Kofi and Christian, among others, pushed more.
The point I was making is that Miz and Morrison aren’t anymore next generation than Cena or Orton. There is no indication that either of them will be around any longer than those two. Morrison’s ring style and the way he always screws up his own finisher and lands awkwardly on his hip can’t be good for him. He’ll probably be washed up by his mid 30’s. Cena, Orton, Miz, Punk, Del Rio and 3 or 4 others. That is almost certainly how the top of the card will look in 5 years time. Honestly, if you’re tired of Cena and Miz now…you’re probably better off finding something else to watch on a Monday night cause they're not going away anytime soon. *obligatory "deal with it" gif that I can't be bothered hunting for*
