According to Pwinsider.com, the reason that the Victory Road main event was so short was because Jeff Hardy was in no condition to wrestle in his match against Sting. Sting was said to be a complete professional about the entire situation.

People within the company are reportedly very upset that Hardy was even sent to the ring, when it was clear to people backstage that he should never have been sent out. Also, people within the company felt that the card should have been reshuffled so that the company would not have been embarrassed like they were last night. Many people within the company are very upset right now, because the company came off looking bad, and because the situation is representative of greater problems that plague the company.

Is it weird that the only time I ever take an interest in TNA is when something crazy like this happens?

I’ve never really been a Sting fan, but that was badass how he was like “fuck it, I’m not working a match with this druggie…end it now!“ and forcibly pinned him down for the 3 count.

Seriously, if this isn‘t some weird storyline, then it’s pretty messed up. Jeff Hardy used to be one of my favourites.

According to Pwinsider.com, TNA has made the decision to send Jeff Hardy home from this week's set of Impact tapings.

Sent home and probably still being paid not to work...they sure showed him. I wonder just how far you'd have to go to get fired by TNA. They seem to be pretty lenient.

Around 2005-2006 Jeff was sacked for no showing some events... how can they let him get away with being drugged up and drunk on PPV, being a danger to everyone he has to work with and putting in no effort nowadays? Total mind blower.
